Alum we outside when we winning and we
outside in
defeat losses turn it we turn losses
into
lessons and then and turn turn them into
blessings
um uh one thing I can say is um I did
always say that I believe D Ryan Garcia
was a good fighter we were 33 with him
um I think he’s a even
better uh tick tocker or influencer or
whatever because he fooled you guys and
the thinking that he was crazy I knew
that he wasn’t crazy um you know so it
was it was a good fight but but you know
we got to take him take it taking his
stride you know and uh definitely want a
rematch um Devon is still the WBC
champion he couldn’t lose the belt
because Ryan was overweight he didn’t
make the skill but we wanted to make the
fight happen and more
importantly um being the best fighter
you know or being the second best f
Fighter the third best fighter you can
work you can work to get there you can
step back to step back up but the one
thing is that my son is the best son in
the world to me and I love him to death
I’ll continue to go in bat for him I’ll
continue to stay outside you know what I
mean we didn’t just start this journey
uh uh when we started boxing you know so
I’m I’m backing fully you know I ain’t
going nowhere
period no so whenever we you know get
back in the gym or whatever you know
what I mean whenever he want to do that
then that’s what we going to
do you
know but we going to definitely hold our
head up high you know chest out chin
up and that’s what that’s what mean
that’s what it means by being a Haney
you know what I
mean he didn’t seen this old man take um
losses in life that’s way more vicious
than a loss in the ring so we don’t take
nothing from it we don’t we don’t carry
no excuses you know but the one thing
that I can say that I’m I’m I’m happy
about it being a sport boxing that my
son is in I know the streets you know

Keeps he was able to uh we were able to
accomplish some amazing things in the
sport and we’re going to continue to
accomplish some amazing things in the
sport you
know but I must come out and address you
yeah
well it’s all part of the game you know
he came in overweight as well you know
and uh you know he
um he had a he had a good game plan you
know what I mean both inside and outside
inside the ring you can’t take that away
from it you know
so you know I’m happy I’m I’m I’m I’m
happy who Devon is I’m happy to
represent him and we going to keep on
pushing no broken bones no broken jaws
no none of
that you know ain’t nothing wrong with
having a bruis ego if it’s going to push
you back uh push you to your greatness
so we accept this as alhamdulillah a lot
doesn’t make any mistakes and I’m still
going to be representing him and behind
him with the same passion
energy uh that I
got that aladen gave me so you guys have
a great morning you know we going to get
back to the West Coast and
uh thank you for everybody coming out
all my family all the supporters that
came out you know and pack that Arena
thank you to you guys for making it a
successful night and uh that was great
for boxing
