you know this is great I I need to print this out and put this up and always always look at this we could put it in your bag be good thing to do I still look back and think about that week [Music] [Music] gone to the days of tracking your own information via pencil and paper shotlink does an incredible job of giving players information on how they played in rounds and tournaments what went well what went poorly and for Windham Clark last year at Quil Hollow was all about greens and regulation and our stat Guru Lou stagner Dove deep on the incredible iron play from Windham 11 11 to the back ho location from the Fairway at 14 3/4 wedge land short of the hole skips up and stops and it’s inside of 5 ft for Windam [Applause] Clark you know when you think back to to that week and just the entire four days and Beyond what kind of comes to mind it probably statistically the best week I hit it I think in my career okay you know I I felt like I drove it fantastic man leading the way Windam Clark Terry on Thursday H is T shot here just a mere 389 yd stop had 145 in stop I felt like my iron play was really spoton and then I puted great and that’s something that I struggled with a little bit last year and as I leading up into Wells Fargo I started feeling better and better with the Putter and and then finally had a great week matched with good ball striking and then turned into a very big win for me right to the front edge he is going to tap it in Victory for Windam Clark as he wins the Wells Fargo Championship and he is a winner on the PGA tour are you a big shotlink guy do you dive into the numbers how do you use it to your advantage my cad he does a lot of that so after rounds he’ll look into the shotlink data and then he’ll relay it to me I try to you know minimize getting too caught up in stats that maybe I don’t need to worry about and so he looks at the ones that are most important which ones are those what are the most important total drive he can generate some Club head speed confidence yep in the Fairway here stroke sched approach mhm using that back stop there beautifully that’s two high class wedge shots in a row and TR putty putter comes back gently Strokes it towards the cup and it goes in eight under today for Windam Clark all right so let’s take a look and see how he performed with those stats and where he has a chance to improve three very telling in stats total driving Strokes gained putting and strokes gained approach total driving Clark made four Bogies on the par fours and Par fivs last year to defend this year he’s going to want to hit a few more Fairways 189 bull speed that is ridiculous Clark had a great week with the putter he was third in Strokes gain putting 19 ft on the way looking good fist pumping it in is Windam Clark Clark hit a lot of good shots last year 68% gain Strokes that led the field D almost went in the [Applause] hole yeah that’ll work yeah how impressed surprised amazed are you at the advancements in terms of shotlink for you guys CU it feels like every single year new stuff’s coming out it’s it’s really nice for us sometimes you might feel like your game’s in a good spot but statistically it’s not or vice versa and it’s really nice to now have stats that are very accurate with shotlink you go out and you okay yeah I’m missing the green 40% of the time with the long irons we need to go and work on Long iron and so it really helps you practice and prep to where then when you’re in competition you know that you’re training correctly and then you find yourself at that 100 yard distance and you go you know what I’ve worked on this and then you hit a great wed shot and you feel like man I did the right thing and that’s all thanks to shotlink shotlink tells us that Clark’s approach play was dialed that week and while hitting nearly 81% of the the greens is fantastic where he missed it tells more of a story I missed 14 greens all week and 10 times I got up and down so three things in my mind when I when I see a stat like that was first off I’m missing it in good spots right not short sided myself secondly I’m obviously chipping it pretty close and then thirdly the ones I didn’t chip close I was then making putts Ben he made it and gives it a fist pump second time we’ve seen that today Windam Clark 20 under that week it was amazing I made a couple adjustments in my setup I just was able to shape the ball if you were playing almost computer golf video game golf you’re like okay you want to put it 10 ft right here and then 10t it really was I mean some of those rounds it felt just like that this was honestly the best ball striking week I think in my in my career [Music]
