hey in today’s tip of the day I’m going
to show you a fantastic drill inspired
by the legendary Ben Hogan to help you
activate your golf swing and use your
lower body to move the golf club most
golfers struggle with using the lower
body properly in the golf swing because
they’re always turning from the top down
and they just haven’t practiced enough
to activate the lower body so let me
Clutch your sides with your elbows and
visualize your elbows being attached to
your body and your arms instead of at
your
shoulders and just start moving your
body from right to left around in a
circle holding your elbows in your side
put your arms up in front of you one
hand on top of the other this pins your
arms to your trunk and I just want to
move my arms back and forth so how am I
going to move my arms well typically a
lot of golfers will do this right
they’ll kind of Swing the arms around
with no pivot and turn in the body we
want to turn this way from the ground up
so to move my arms forward I press into
the lead foot and pivot to move the arms
back I press into the trail foot and
turn so it’s press and turn press and
turn press and turn press and turn the
Press always happens before the turn
that’s what energizes things and gets
you moving see this is a absolutely full
swing isn’t that simple anyone can do
that
up boom take the club take my stance
hold the club up in the air I’m not
going to ground the club press and turn

golf CL activate the body to turn with
the feet from the ground up back and
through do a few of those then hit the
