who can relate to this we’ve got to the final hole 18 it’s a part five it’s a long way especially from The Backs trouble everywhere we’ve been hitting driver good all around and then we get faster and faster and faster and there’s pressure on this drive we hit a bad one we lose our score the score is gone now in today’s video I’m going to be talking to you about sequence of the goal swing how the arms how the body all work together so you get to hoges like this you can swing easy but still produ prod tons and tons of power now today we’re answering this question from California travel videos they’re saying okay here’s some thoughts I hope you’re not sorry I asked LOL I’m not I’m really want to help you hm how about a series on Tempo timing and rhythm with various segments let’s do it all in one video so me and Jim name this the a b c sequence no your reason really just cuz it’s the simplest way for me to remember it for him remember it take it out on the golf course and this is what we’re facing by the way we’re getting striped up Summer’s Here look at that how much better it is looking now the ABC sequence is all to do with mainly the down swing a being back swing B being arms dropping C finish it off let me talk you through this a little further CU I want you to have confidence in your game so addressing this right here let’s make a back swing that is a now a should just include nice flat lead wrist shoulders that have turned a little bit more than our hips so rough numbers 90 45 and if I just do a few reps just have a look what I’m doing there just roughly around that that’s what we should be looking for and we should be able to say a in our head now this is where it gets a lot more interesting on the sequence let me sort of show you where people go wrong what I see a lot of the time we have C if C was turn we have C before we have B so a lot of people go right okay c b so C before our arms drop now if you look at this on face on we go c b arms dropping well we don’t want that that’s the overthe toop slicy weak swing that if we hit one we might bull it pull one into this tree right here or very often on this hole that thing’s like a magnet hit it into that tree we don’t want that what sequence we’re looking for is we want B being a drop before c being a turn and roll now if I just keep doing that have a look at every angle here what I’m doing maybe even just go right okay B before c not C before B we’ll break this down a little further in a second but let me do a few more reps a b c a b c that has to be the sequence and one more for you as you go down the line I’ll do this one a little bit slower a b c fully rolled fully through and turned now let’s break this down a little further now if you’re wondering Alex why did you pick out that comment today from California travel videos well simply they ask this question they subscribe to the channel and they turned on the Bell now I’m creating the videos and looking through all the questions right now for next week and if you want your question answered just simply subscribe turn on the bell and Pop It Down Below in the comments let’s get back to the video so breaking down these movements let’s say a is back swing which includes turn and a little bit of a lift of those arms when we say movement B that’s our arms dropping okay when we say movement C that is a rotation of the body and a roll of these wrists okay so they’re the motion there’re the movements let me repeat that again a being a turn the lift of the arms B being a drop only C being a turn and a roll of those wrists so this is how I said to Jim on on the golf course what you should think about let me hit this one away and then we’ll talk about this a little further so look this is what I do I stand here and I just think a BC I can’t hit to drive it any better than that look how it’s drawing in cuz that b before c allows me to hit from the inside that just went 263 yards on a Cold Spring morning look at that look at that so I want you to be able to get into the wind that too so this is what I said to Jim let me te this one up listen to my words very carefully you make your a back swing now as you’re looking down here your shoulders pretty much covering right up your left foot okay your lead for I can’t see it so I said to to Jim we’ve got to have B which gets us swinging it on plane okay in here before you can see in the corner of your eye your left foot cuz that can be seen if you turn too early so practice keeping the left foot or your lead foot hidden by that drop that drop of B before c and roll through that’s exactly how I want you to think about it and how I said to him to think about it so picture it you’ve just finished 17 good score on your hand this is the sequence you need so you don’t lose control in fact do this on any te this is your pre-shot routine from now until you finish playing golf this season or actually finish playing golf in general so we go a b practice that drop now look at my right arms extending my wrist is starting to work over that is our B sequence now at this point remember that point I can’t see my lead foot then the C we add in with the turn pre-shot routine that exaggerate it for one rep second one bit more flow to it you know what’s crazy when I drop it you don’t even see it at full speed right but you exaggerate to get that feeling in your own mind you walk over to your go ball you just think ABC cover up the left foot it couldn’t be any easier to swing from the inside and hit that draw I’m done that is all we need you’re down for your teg hopefully a little bit smoother than that and you’re down the Fairway shooting your lower scores

  1. You have to use Jim’s sequence because I know follow the A,B,C move is the way to do it! Follow this now everyone

  2. I have this exact problem, this is a great easy way to help me remember the tempo — thanks for a simple way to work on it.

  3. Hey Alex, can you recommend a task that would help me draw and fade the golf ball? Also, how to hit a high shot low shot? I find it difficult to think about technique over a task. Thanks again for all your amazing videos!!!

  4. Alex, I have a terrible time trying to make easy putts! I seem to get the distance pretty well, but I always miss putts to the left or right side of the hole. What would you recommend? Thanks!

  5. Hi Alex, excellent info, was pulling a lot of shots and I'm sure I was out of sequence. I will use this tomorrow and should work for irons too.

  6. This seems like good advice but I’ve also seen contrary advice saying the body needs to start to move to initiate downswing and the downswing needs to “lag” the body turn.

  7. Hi Alex! Love your videos and all you do to help us with our game! I sometimes go into a round and for some reason tend to pull my driver and irons. What is going on and how can I stop this pulling. Thanks Mark form Montreal Canada

  8. Hey Alex- Wouldn’t B simply be, just keeping your back to the target until after you drop your arms? This move stops the over the top move… And C being your arms move your body on C?

  9. Hey Alex great video yet again but I need to ask how far do you drop B before you start C as I think this is where I’m over or under adjusting before starting C.
    Thx Andrew from Aus

  10. Hello I'm John Madden and I would like to see if you could come to Gainesville FL and help me to get a lot better with playing golf

  11. Alex brilliant.

    'so easy' your A, B and C !!!

If that would be ' so easy' I wouldn’t have watched you!! 😅😅

If we, that your ABC could make that 'easy' then you would watch me in TV playing PGA!! 😂😂😂

Thanks a lot Alex. Keep going.

  12. How wrong was i what I'm doing wrong I was always thinking ACb how stupid am I oh no I know it's ABC what was i thinking im now a professional What a moppet u r

  13. 10:30.
Alex, I accidentally rolled my left arm on my take away and hit the crispest iron shot of my golfing life (30+yrs). I have continued this arm roll and I am very pleased with results. What are your thoughts??? Thank you in advance
    Ray.

  14. Come on bro, WTF, no shame in these click-bait titles bro!?!?!? Don't get caught up in that bs and you will have a respectable user base!

  15. It should be D, roll of the wrist. Once you're at B, if you rotate the hip/shoulders to target, the club face will be square at impact. The roll of the wrist, aka the release, happens after impact… D

  16. I’ve seen some data that says your putter arc doesn’t change much with a blade vs mallet. Do you have any special input on this. I thought I needed a big mallet to control and paid too much for it. I played 4 months and practiced a lot. The feel never improved. Took the aim point course. I just tried a PLD blade anser 2d putter for 30 minutes. What a dream. It was like autopilot for the swing in comparison. What gives?

Any insight on how to think. Lots of confusing information out there

  17. I am struggling my whole career with the right sequence. This abc sequence is just what I was looking for. Simply brilliant 🎉 Thanks Alex
