  1. I honestly think that Ray is the greatest YouTube golfer on the planet. His skill level is amazing. Nobody can defeat him …. just kidding.

  2. Yes you are bang on Mark, you can’t play a provisional when you know you hit it in the hazard you are playing 3 off the tee if you do.. bang on

  3. You can hit a provisional if you choose but there's really not much point because if the original ball not found but it is agreed upon that it did enter the hazard then you may carry on by dropping 3 at an agreed point of entry into the hazard

  4. http://www.randa.org/Guidance-on-Running-a-Competition/Rules/3-Local-Rules/SubRules/2-Out-of-Bounds

It is not permissible to introduce a Local Rule providing relief from a boundary fence even if the Committee’s reasons for doing so are to protect the fence from any damage. However, where the boundary fence is an electric fence, a Local Rule providing relief for a ball lying within a certain distance (e.g. two club-lengths) of the boundary fence is permitted. In these circumstances to ensure the safety of the player, the player can measure the two club-lengths from the fence and an additional club-length in which to drop the ball no nearer the hole.

tl;dr – if the electric fence was the OOB boundary, the club should have had a local rule allowing relief (and if they didn;t, Mark et al could form their own committee to allow it.) If it wasnt the OOB boundary, he is allowed relief from the man-made obstruction

  5. i thought if all parties agreed that it had gone in the hazard (reasonable conclusion), then it could be played as such, even if the original ball was not found. didn't that happen with poulter earlier this year?

  6. I've never in my life see anyone even get half the lucky bounces away from trouble, onto fairways and greens, etc. as Crossfield. 13:05 a 20 ft bounce onto the fairway! 14:20 ray hits basically the same shot and stays in the semi. #luckybugger

  7. Classic watching the vlog…..wife is getting to know the sound of the muppets. As Matt was in the bushes she says “Are they both rubbish???
“. “No” I said they are both Professionals. “What him too???”she says pointing at Matt in the bushes. “Yes , both of them”I said. Wife let’s out a huge belly laugh……..

  8. 23-2 Out of Bounds – Where the boundary fence is an electric fence, a Local Rule providing relief for a ball lying within a certain distance (e.g. two club-lengths) of the boundary fence is permitted. In these circumstances to ensure the safety of the player, the player can measure the two club-lengths from the fence and an additional club-length in which to drop the ball no nearer the hole." – Classic Mark making him play that shot for youtube views.

  9. You need to bring back the comments show following this course vlog….Just so you can read a million (exaggeration) about how amazing the sky has looked. so vivid and the shots with the sun in the background have been psychedelic

  10. As someone who is a year+ into golf, I really appreciate seeing Rors play with them, you root for Rors as an underdog on every shot he takes. I think he should also feel zero guilt that he's not as good as them, they are professionals.

  11. Coach Lockey should hit driver off deck always. Even off the box. Putting it on a tee is game over for him!

  12. what do they mean when they ask if there is a shot and they say no shot? Mark asked Ray once if he had a shot after he already hit the ball.

  13. Hey Bro, watching this video brought an idea for a series of videos for you. Analyzing various troubled lies (Rough, trees, sand, bunkers, weather, etc). Cheers!

  14. To help the rake debate maybe take them all away and make the golfers carry there own as the 15th club lol if the bring that rule in ill buy shares in rake company 1st lol

  15. If you're 99.9 percent sure your ball went into a water hazard, don't hit a provisional:

Once you re-hit from the same spot, that new ball is in play (with a stroke added to your score). You've forfeited the right to drop up by the hazard.

  16. 27-2 applies if the ball may be lost or OOB and if it is not in a water hazard. At 5:03 you can see it is a lateral water hazard. So, playing a provisional according to 27-2 is only allowed if it is not "known or virtually certain" that the ball is lost within the water hazard. Actually you had your pro tracer clearly pointing into the water hazard. How on earth could it be not virtually certain, then?

  17. Love the boys…BUT….why the F (bunkerball) doesn't Ray always have another ball in pocket for his constant provisional
