I read this is a misconception of how his aide misinterpreted the scorecard. He was scoring it relative to par so if he shot a bogey, he would write down a 1 and it was interpreted as a hole in one

Him shooting 110 on his first round ever is just as unbelievable as 34 with 11 hole in ones. A first timer is more likely to score 120-140 if you count every shot and every penalty. 11 bogies would actually be really good too.
