These guys are legends!
I definitely don’t watch the pga unless it’s the majors, a Hawaii tournament, or favorite golfers Morikawa, Finau, or Speith are in contention. I watch every LIV tournament because other favorite golfer DJ is always playing and on the leaderboard. As well as Cam Smith, Bryson, Joaquin, as well as their respective team members because of the team competition. LIV is currently a better golf product to watch.
Love your insights on the game! Throw in a few old stores that we would enjoy.
I agree! Business people should run the PGA Tour with some input from the players. Otherwise, the PGA Tour may fail to achieve its mission to promote and support golf and just disappear. Happy New Year!
All about the dollar? Yea, sure, and you can blame LIV for that. They came in and poached a bunch of players with ungodly sums of money. PGA tour is just trying to hold on to the best players they have.
Prediction: At the end of the 25 golf season, the Masters and CBS announce that Phil Mickelson will be in the 18th tower in 2026. Now that will stir some interest.
Grayhawk, from the day it opened, the first golf club in Arizona to not offer a PGA Member rate. Zero reciprocity.
Would love to see an interview of Greg Norman by Peter & Gary talking about the PGA Tour & LIV Golf and their futures.
6:50 Hadn’t heard this old classic “What’s the definition of a camel?” in a long time. Thanks Peter lol.
I’m a big fan of LIV. Love the team event, shotgun start and 54 hole tourneys. So it’s good news to me that it’s likely LIV will continue. If they buy the DP tour even better.
Ryder cup sucks now too
Who wants to watch the 50 most entitled ass hats 😂
Just make them all instant billionaires. Might as well. Then the peasants can be charged outrageous fees for the right to see the great billionaires play.
They're trying to fix something that wasn't broken and chasing fans away i droves..it's a shame..the game should not be for sale
Happy New Year, And keep on Rockin!!!
23 million for being useless
750 dollars for a day pass to the Ryder cup, with travel, accommodation plus, plus, makes it financially impossible for normal people to attend let alone take the family. Grow the game my ass. Yes it sold out with every ticket going to corporations to dish out as grift.
Complicated topic obviously.
Players may not be qualified but they are the best they got. They need to pay Monaghan for 25 and tell him to go kick rocks already. Eventually they will get a commissioner and ceo that can be trusted and the players will get back to golf. But the reality is the players who represent the players should have the ultimate control. Better than some shark suit imo. It is the job of commissioners and ceo to sell the best options to the players.
At the end of the day the thing to remember is the same: the pga tour cannot win a bidding war. They need to work together especially with pif increasingly invested in liv. The only option sans an agreement is to keep buying players.
Ultimately there will be a liv investment into the pga tour and a liv series with all the elites involved. And these players will of course be allowed back into full field event tours. Some things will need to change on requirements and such. There’s a lot to do. Which is why the Tour cannot waste another year waiting for the big contract to expire. Imo.
Greg Norman should be the next PGAT commissioner, he did a much better job at LIV than Monahan did at the PGAT over the past few years
👍
When you have decades long Corporate sponsors pulling out- you have a problem. Honda- Palm Beach, Shriner's in Vegas- , Farmers- San Diego, Wells Fargo- Charlotte and RBC rumored to not extend after their deals end in 2026. Now, they have plugged other sponsors in but the companies are not seeing any return especially after being asked to put up MORE money to attract the top 10 players on the PGA Tour- they are saying no. Monahan should not be rewarded for failing- that is pathetic. He has promised a PGA Tour/LIV deal for 2 years now and we have seen nothing but hot air.
LIV Should get WRP now. Otherwise it’s a farce. Go LIV.
Phil was right all along. The PGAT was hiding the cash all along.
which metronome app did Peter use?
Hopefully there will be some form of resolution but until those negotiation start using some common sense, I won't be holding my breath. Love these guys and wish either the both of them or one at a time go on a LIV broadcast at least once with Feherty for old times sake.
I love playing golf. There's a lot about the sport that I appreciate. But the fact that human beings are incentivized to the extent of millions (even tens or hundreds of millions) of dollars to devote so much time to become so exceptionally skilled at something so trivial and primitive as hitting a ball with a stick is kind of demented. I mean…what YEAR is this? It's like we're just wealthy cave men or something. That reminds me I gotta check my calendar to see if I can squeeze in a round tomorrow.
Yes, want to see Kostis and McCord play more. Analysis, predictions and Play away gentleman.
