Haven’t seen a lot of feedback on this new model yet. I’ve been following the zero-torque trend for a while now, waiting for an entry-level model to appear, and this immediately fit the bill.

If you naturally have an SBST stroke and have been fighting traditional putters, it’s worth checking out. Before even unwrapping it or taking the headcover off, I could immediately feel the difference. I think it’s something that clicks immediately if it’s the right fit, not a “give it 10 putts before it feels normal” sort of deal.

Standing over the putt, alignment felt completely natural and more intuitive than with traditional putters. The head shape is also very conventional looking compared to other offerings. The stroke felt almost “locked in,” which improved tempo and made it feel almost effortless. Lag putting was no issue at all, contrary to some reviews regarding zero torque that I saw online. Every facet of putting improved immediately. There was no learning curve or adjustment period.

L.A.B. Golf has been casting a lot of doubt on these newer takes on ZT, which made me hesitant, but even if the Wilson Infinite ZT doesn’t pass their “Revealer” test, it’s absolutely undeniable that it achieves what it intends to.

For the price, it delivers the zero-torque feel with a conventional-looking head, all in a very high-quality package. This putter very well might be what helps change the putting landscape and makes ZT mainstream and affordable.

  1. Of course LAB would attempt to cast doubt on their competition. 😂

I get you can put putters into that device that shows club twisting, but bottom line if the putter is still in the category of “low torque” it’s probably going to provide 99% of the effect you’re looking for.

Thank you OP for providing info on a more affordable model!

How different would an older mallet center shafted putter be to todays zero torque ones?

I have an old 2ball center shaft i used for years, but decided I didnt really have right sbst putting line for it.

all zero torque putters are different than what we are used to so I’d have to say they all require a few putts to see if its normal kind of deal, therefore they all have a learning curve and adjustment period – just like any new putter would have. Lag putting is takes more practice as well because these longer strokes are the most likely to not be straight back and through.

anyway, glad to see Wilson joining the club

Finally. I’m a Wilson man til I die and I’ve been torquing my putts for decades. Relief!

Had mines for 2 weeks and been loving it. Like you, it just clicked and i feel a lot more confidence over the ball with it, especially with lag putting. Although I do also have their irons, I wasn’t gonna splurge originally since im still new to the game, but the price ultimately caused me to give it a shot.

I got the 606 and absolutely love. I was looking at this one but then the feel wasn’t right. Like any putter I have to figure out my distance but coming from a blade to the 606, didn’t feel a huge difference in weight but my strokes are smoother.

This is a great putter for the money. I wasn’t a fan of how it felt off the face so went a different direction but I’m glad to see a lower price point on ZTs.

Grain of salt and all that, but I feel like I’ve been putting much more consistently with my Lakeview since getting it and yesterday had my lowest # of putts in a round. Coming from the Infinite Grant Park it just feels better

I picked up the Infinite Southside on sale for $139CDN and absolutely love it.

I’ve been rocking the 606 since I saw someone on here post they’re out. My putting has been immensely better. I’m way more confident at 10ft than I ever have been.

I’m a lover of heavier putters. The 606 has the feel and weight I like. The sound on a solid strike is music to my ears. I’ve been wanting a budget ZT to come out. I am so happy with my 606!

I’ve had a Wilson zt606 for about 2 weeks now. 4 rounds in and it’s never leaving my bag again. 34 putts the first round (very tough greens). 26 the second round (very easy greens at a local course I know well). Didn’t track puts next two rounds due to it being a tournament with a mixed format but everyone was watching my lines and speed if you get what I mean. One other player even said if he put like that he would have taken the stickers off after 3 holes. Lol, guess I should.

It took a little time to get on board with the speed due to it being my 1st milled face vs an insert but once that was good I have become a putting machine. It’s a little hotter off the face but it makes me slow down and therefore make a better stroke.

Minor downsides are that even after only 4 rounds I’m starting to see a little cosmetic wear around the bottom edges. I lean on it but didn’t expect any discoloration this quickly. The head cover is also not the best quality but at $199 I really can’t get that mad and I usually replace them anyway.

If you’re looking for a putter and zero torque interests you try one before spending double on another brand.

I also picked one up recently, for the price I figured fuck it, also had a bunch of credit cards point lol.

Wanted to try the 606 but they only had one and in lefty. They had like 5 in the entire store lol

I havent played a round yet, but it just felt right in my hands. Sounds a bit tinny but it feels great so whatever.

Can’t wait to test it out in a round.

Just bought a new Zero-Torque Wilson myself. But the 606 version. Absolutely love it, best I’ve ever putted and can’t believe the price. Absolutely would recommend

I have the lake view model. Been putting much better than my old ping zing 2

I got the same putter and I’ll be honest I have been very skeptical of the whole Zero Torque movement. I refused to spend 500 dollars plus on a LAB. But when I saw Wilson has one for under $200. I went to the local shop and tried it. Picked the same model you have in the picture. And in the 3 rounds I’ve played since I have never 3 putted. I don’t know if it’s just a mental thing or if it actually works due to the zero torque.

  16. psychedeloquent

I got the Wilson CS22 for $200. One of the nicest putter heads I’ve ever seen in person. Didn’t like the stepped shaft so I put a black kbs stepless in it. I’m so glad I did.

  17. I had a $200 gift I has forgotten about so I ordered one of these. I look forward to trying it out. If I don’t like it, I’ll give it to my kid.

  18. Thanks for the feedback on this. I’ve been very interested in trying out the spider zt, however I’ve been wanting to see if a lower-priced model would hit the market. Have you tried any other zero torque models?
