Played in the 99 man scramble event hosted by RandomGolfClub and it was the most fun I’ve had playing golf. Not that playing golf isn’t fun, but the laid back, casual golf alongside 98(or whatever the total was) other golfers working together was the most fun I’ve ever had on the course.
Ended up shooting -11 on 9 holes. Shoutout RandomGolfClub and Highland Creek Golf Club in Charlotte for hosting.
Will be back for sure!

I mean 10-20 would have been fun, imo. This seems crazy, I’m anxious enough alone that I’m shanking 99% in front of this crowd.
We played yesterday morning and the ranger was explaining this one to us. Crazy to see it pop up on reddit.
I always thought these would be fun but they never take place in Minnesota so I just get to watch others have fun.
Without reading… I’m going..‘that looks like 9 at Highland Creek’. Course is finally in great shape! Looks fun and sort i missed out on that event.
The Mad Scramble! Did one a few years ago at The Shire in London with RGC and Rick Shiels and going to one of the Classics at Sunningdale Heath this weekend! Should be great fun again. Glad you had a great time also and made some new golf friends!

So worth it! We had to finish the last hole in the dark. Never used my shots…but I hit an AMAZING shot on a par 5 approach! 5 iron from 190 out and striped it to 10 feet.
THAT feeling with 100 people cheering was unmatched. Easily the sickest shot of my life.
ALMOST used it but ONE other guy got inside me by 3 feet. Kudos to that guy tho, he absolutely laced it with a 6!

There is no way this is the most fun one has had playing golf.
there was one of these groups at my local 9hole, it wasnt 99 people but like 40-50 people. me and 3 friends were playing and they were literally the group right behind us and it was hilarious seeing them all hit their shots towards us…and then they would all march towards us, then proceed to hit more shots towards us. it looked a big ass medieval army shooting cannons or throwing spears and then inching closer.
Sometimes in life there are things that you go do just so you can say you did it and were a part of it.
This is absolutely not one of those things. This looks like hell to me.

Legend has it this group goes out on the course every Saturday and Sunday morning to set the pace of play for when I get there
