In this video we cover the importance of the arms being extended at set up, along with correct shaft/ wrist position for ball contact consistency. Ensuring the arms are extended properly, and shaft angle is set at address is key for the ability to maintain clean contact through the bottom arc of the swing. Trust the shaft angle to be lower at set up position, slightly below the belt buckle.
Often times golfers can lack the arm extension due to poor grip, or trying to keep the golf club flush on the ground, rather than the toe up slightly. It is important to remember long arms through impact will promote maximum clubhead speed, and distance. If the golfer starts with short arms it becomes difficult to hit the ball properly with arm extension, often times compromising ball contact.
