Assuming this is real. I'd take the 4 stroke penalty and then shove the extra club hosel deep in the rectum of this absolute chode.

  1. Seems like rage bait. Nobody would legitimately impose a penalty for this.

  2. Bird2525

Actually, sounds like some gamesmanship that I’ve run into before, but can’t imagine that the rules committee would uphold the penalty

  3. OkSalary785

This has to be bait. No way a penalty like this would be enforced anyway

  4. karawec403

I’m gonna start leaving a wedge on the green to bait my competitors into a 4 stroke penalty.

  5. 90Irishman

Call the proshop for guidance, but anyone who would impose this penalty should be publicly outed so that all of his regular playing partners shun him.

  6. nevets4433

I would simply respond the club is not mine and therefore not in play, move on, and ignore him. Club isn’t in my bag, and he’s welcome to talk to the tournament director if he has any questions.

Also he better watch himself really carefully because I’m now watching for legit penalties to call…

  7. Explosive_Nut

Intentionally leave wedge and ask opponent to grab it. Once their fingers touch it “Gotcha bitch” ez win

  8. LankyJeep

I doubt a rules committee or the group putting on a tournament would enforce it especially if it’s not in your bag, I’d tell them to kick rocks, and call up the pro shop and tell them you found a wedge during play and intend to turn it in at the end of play

  9. Lou_Skunnt69

I’d call him a cunt to his face, then I’d say the same thing to the tournament director if I was assessed such a penalty before walking off.

  10. vonneguts_anus

I’d divorce my wife and buy a lab putter to sleep with

  11. Walk over and put the club in their bag, now call a penalty on them

From the USGA rules of golf:

    >After a player’s round has started, if the player picks up another player’s club that was left behind, or a club is mistakenly put in the player’s bag without their knowledge, the club is not treated as one of the player’s clubs for purposes of the 14-club limit.

I’d laugh in their face and asked where they learned that sort of Busch league, loser, bullshit.

  13. Prestigious_Ad_544

I’d tell him to check the rules again, because it specifically calls out the case of picking up a lost club.

  14. kbenesq99

You did the honorable thing, no question about it.

  15. kellym13

I’m a lefty and couldn’t hit a ball with that club even if my life depended on it. He can go F himself.

  16. LilOpieCunningham

Were you sharing the cart with another player, thus leaving each of you with 14.5 clubs in your bag? Do you get to split the 4 strokes with the other guilty party?

  17. I_love_coke_a_cola

If it wasn’t in your bag you shouldn’t incur a penalty

  18. Ok_Mouse_3791

Gotta be a mega loser to call for punishment here…

  19. Marlow714

Anyone who would penalize you for this is an asshole and you should never play with them.

  20. Azfitnessprofessor

This is the kinda person who’d brag about coming in 3rd place in a competition with 3 players

  21. maestrosouth

OP is the master baiter. Don’t take the bait.

  22. Hi_Limee

Im just a vibes golfer to have fun, I dont need to follow the rules unless its a tournament Im never going to go pro in any way shape or form. Dont yuck my yum with this BS. Dude getting salty about rules is just a little unhappy rat. idk.

  23. USGA has a decision on this issue, picking up a lost club when you already have 14 clubs is not a penalty.

If it were a penalty then what would constitute possession of a club? If someone in your group leaves a wedge on the green and you pick it up and hand it to them when you get back to the cart. Did you temporarily have a 15th club?

  24. scruffy86

Put it in the other guys bag and call the same penalty on him

  25. themiddleshoe

Not against the rules, and I’d shame the hell out of someone for even attempting to mention some bullshit like that.

If you’re going to call someone out on the golf course, you better be 100% correct. Otherwise, huge dickhead move, especially in a tournament setting.

  26. stlouisraiders

It’s not in the bag and he’s not playing it. No matter how you interpret the rule the guy calling him out is a douche. They’re not playing in the us open. This is not shocking at all. I see behavior like this every year during our club championship and even at the member guest.

  27. I would beat his ass to death with my 15th club

  28. Slambridge

No rule has been broken and your fellow competitor is an A-hole.

  29. glencoe606

What a fucking clown. He can’t be serious
