It was a 465yd par 5. I striped my drive 265yds down the middle and had 200yds to the middle of the green. I hit the purest 5 wood of my life, and it went about 210yds. I lagged the putt to 2 feet for a tap in birdie.

I’ll remember this birdie for the next 6 months.

Well done on the birdie from that distance. Still remember my first eagle putt. It was similar distance and I got it about half way to the hole.

At least you made the bird. I still have never made an eagle putt. Have had plenty of looks just never made one.

I am a pro at turning eagle into par though.

If anyone wants tips on this I am open to giving lessons.

  3. That’s an amazing putt from there. Would have been easy to make a par…. Congrats on a hell of a hole.

I made a 30ft eagle putt last year and it was electric

I was gonna say nice par…but I hope you made the eagle though!!

I have had seven Eagles, only one was a putt. Every other one was a chip or an insanely lucky fairway wood or iron.

  7. Its crazy but I had multiple eagles when I first started playing. I assumed it was normal to have one every other round for people that play alot. Then I went on an eagle drought and mentioned to someone I got paired with how I haven’t had an eagles in a couple months and he told me we’ll they aren’t easy to get some people might see 1 or 2 in an entire season. Thats when I learned eagles are not normal in golf I then proceeded to eagle a 280yd par 4.

Had an Eagle putt last year about 15 feet out.

Said to my friend, “a good 2 putt for birdie.”

My friend said, “what is the point of playing golf if you don’t go for it.”

    Sunk that 15 footer

I still recall my first Eagle. It was a par 4, 440 uphill! I did have the wind. I striped a 275 yard drive. I was torn on what club to use for the second shot. Decided on a 7 iron. It landed about 5 yards short of the elevated green but had “draw spin” on it so it hopped up to the green. I actually couldn’t see the green. Could see the top of the flag. We assumed it went over the green. Looked for about 3 or 4 minutes. My buddy said, “let me check the hole”. I laughed thinking I was going to have to be playing my 4th shot. Then, I hear him say, “M’Fer”. Pulls the ball out of the hole. I almost feinted.
