This Titleist GT2 vs Titleist TS2 driver comparison tests the latest Titleist driver vs its driver from 2017 to see how far Titleist driver technology has advanced in eight years. The Titleist GT2 driver has been widely regarded by 2nd Swing fitters as one of the best drivers on the market. But how much better is it than the Titleist TS2 driver?
So today we found multiple key stats that show why the new Titus GT driver is better than the 2018 Titus TS2 driver. Yeah, Emma, that’s not a big surprise, but Titus has made so many significant advancements in their drivers and so we wanted to test it out today. Emma joined us and she hit five good shots with each driver. She’s playing the GT2 and then we threw the TS2 head on her graphite design DI shaft. Found some pretty big differences. We saw significant jump in launch angle as a degree and a half. We saw the carry distance actually go up 16 yards on average and then also the peak height was up almost 20 feet on average. So, um, Emma, does this kind of track with what you’ve seen with the GT2 driver? And what was your big takeaway for this as well? 100%. As someone I like to hit draws with the driver, oftentimes my miss was sometimes that low left I was always trying to avoid. So, being able to have that combination of high launch, low spin is exactly what Titalist did with this GT driver. The fact that I’m just picking up a new club and right away carrying it 15 yards further, it’s going 20 feet higher. And truthfully, when I look at the golf shots and where they kind of ended up with the TS2, it’s a good club. This is a good golf club. But then it just over the last, you know, seven, eight years, the fact that they have improved it this much to where when you look at Trackman, it literally looks like a completely new club in the in the distance and the dispersion. I mean, it’s it shows a lot. Yeah, tremendous stuff from Titus. So, fascinating comparison here today with Emma golfers.
