You can Learn a simple golf swing with these two easy moves http://www.theartofsimplegolf.com
If you want more accuracy, ball striking consistency and even an increase of distances then you want to learn a golf swing that you can rely on and one that does not require dozens of swing thoughts because if you are thinking about positions, rotating, hinging, pivoting and so forth, you chances of actually executing a good shot is beyond realistic.
So we must keep the swing thoughts, (if any at all are required) to a bare minimum and this simple golf swing lesson will do just that.
We all have a dominant side so our golf swing struggles because of it. It can cause you to be off a natural plane, whip the club on the inside and come over the top and reduce power too!
But there is good way to combat a dominant sided golf swing and have an easy to execute action to play better golf with and this two step swing has helped many folks so it’s worth a try to see how it works for you.
It’s as simple as getting into a good address position with a solid grip.
Focus on the direction and shot shape you want.
Now with your lead arm (my left arm) you want to feel like you are pushing the club away. it’s still feeling like both hands to push away from your target and in sync with your hips and belly button.
Now into transition…
Feel like you are pulling through. Not down at the ball but through to the target.
This is to take you though to a full finish.
With this simple golf swing of 2 parts, your timing and rhythm should be just smooth and consistent and even try counting the “1- 2” for the smooth effortless swing you want!
Enjoy and please give this a try.

Pull with the right hand on the downswing? Very counterintuitive (to me), and definitely not my current swing thought. I am interested to try it. 🙂
You Know I have been playing golf off and on for over 40 odd years. i have never had a lesson, but managed to hold onto my 13 handicap.
I was told that the left hand is dominant for right handed golfers! I had a nightmare in my last game of golf and was ready to chuck it!
Then I received this pop up of your blog on my laptop, I went to the field and followed your instructions -Wow – what I have missed all these years! Many, many Thanks!!!!
Great lesson. Easy to follow in practice. Has immediately improved my golf.
Sounds simple but brilliant I will try as I’m coming over the top at the moment
Love the simplicity.
I wonder how you would combine pushing and pulling your arms with a "body swing", where you want to swing with your core and your legs rather than your arms. Are those two completely different swings or could they work hand in hand?
Good sound advice, if only our arshole politicians would allow us to take to the course or range to try it out.
Going to try this ASAP because I'm right handed but left side dominant , this giy is excellent plenty more ,plenty of basic advice on here that won't pickle the mind while on the course .
This should be one of the first three things anyone starting golf should learn!
Why am i just learning this?
To fix it, play crosshanded! Simple
it would simplify explanation to refer to it as lead side/trail side. j/s as a left hander.
What a beautifully simple way of describing it. Teachers like you are rare in that you seek to simplify things so that anyone can understand and try the techniques. Kudos to you my friend
Keeping it simple is clearly the key. I've played golf for nearly 30 years and it's the only game that I really 'think' about what I'm doing which is a killer! Some of Alex's tips have really helped and I'm now playing golf more consistently than ever before. Thank you Alex and keep up the great work.
I appreciate this feeling. It seems to work best for me if I employ a butterfly fly grip. Strong left and and weaker right hand. Right hand on top instead of to the side or underneath the grip. I am able to release aggressively with no fear of a hook.
Can't wait to try this tbf. I pull inside and then chop, as I'm very right side dominant.
I am going through your old videos and cam across this one. You have described me to a tee. Not over the top but I hit with the right hand and so I have no left side and hence I chicken wing. Since watching your videos of late, I now try to think left side throughout the swing. I have found that this allows for a better path and follow through. Hitting with the right also makes the release difficult. I wish I had known about the Left hand swing for a right handed golfer when i first started. I can swing much better left handed. I release the club better and transfer weight better. I am now too old to change. Oh what we could have done with hindsight.
Considering the inside takeaway is such a common problem with amateurs (me included) I can’t believe I’ve never heard this swing thought before…tried a few practice swings after watching and it really feels like it fixed my takeaway with one simple thought…can’t wait to get to the range and test this out…Thanks!!!
Alex! I've been a subscriber for a while and today I came across this 5+ year video of yours on something I began researching. After viewing this video, I told myself that is simple enough. When putting, I push the putter back with the left arm and then on rebound, I push with the right. It works with putting, why not in the longer swing. I'll definitely be trying this concept out!
Good advice. I think of push with push back with left & push with right to help the lazy right arm hitting through the shot. I think of PUSH/ PUSH.
Makes total sense
Great and simple tips
Push with left backswing and push with right downswing
managed to bore and confuse me in 3 min ..
Great tip! My head is filled with too many swing thoughts. Each of your videos is another. Poor me.
love this, love this, love this. no jumbled swing thoughts just push then pull.
Definitely want to give this a try. I've always been told to push back with the left, and pull with the left, and have struggled with consistency. Will try push with left, pull with the right
