Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

I love my Mizuno M-Craft putter with the blue. just love it
I've got the 2021 Ping Fetch putter. Mid-mallet design suits my putting stroke better than a blade, plus it's $150 cheaper.
Things have moved on a bit! I remember when I was an assistant at Finchley GC in the 80's – doing a Ken Brown and getting my Ping Answer heat treated and oil quenched, then shaft refitted. It did look very cool as it was virtually black…

Looks nice. I just got the new Cobra Supernova with SIK face tech….i will tell you my putting is on fire. Its the only thing saving my game right now.
As someone who has a Scotty Newport 2… spending $600 CAD approx after tax… I have to say the head cover fell short of my expectations.. but I went and got a cool custom one which is so much cooler so it’s no biggie

I have an old Ping Eye 2 putter; was good. I attached a small magnet on the back metal shelf. The extra weight transformed it into a fantastic putter! Try it. Cost $36.

I would say a putter DOES NOT need to be 400$ to match a 400$ competitor. If a putter is 200 or 300$ compared to 400$ and performs EQUAL or better than the 400$ than all you are doing is aiming for die hard fan boys/girls.
yet again an equipment manufacturer misses the target by a mile. when the cost of living is going thru the roof and people are struggling Ping bring out a putter that costs £400. absolute nonsense. it clearly isn't a magic wand. Its about time this stopped and companies started pricing things at a reasonable price for the majority not the rich people.
Still have my Ping Anser 3 purchased new in the mid 80s. I am tempted by the face though. Pity they don't have the darker one with the line. Would want to try this one though if I do update my putter.
I put with a Rife Barbados, center shaft mallet super stroke grip . The groves on the face get the ball rolling. I don’t use a line

Wouldn’t change my Scotty Cameron Phantom X8 for anything else on the market, it looks absolutely stunning and suits me and my putting style down to the ground.
When I putt, I focus more on the line with my feet. I feel like this puts me on the line that's right.
Changing putters all the time will not help with confidence or the mental approach to a shot. Just find one that you like and stick with it. The problem is YOU and not the equipment. The more time you spend with the same putter the more confident you will get with it. I have not changed my putter since 2013.
