Hello all,

I want to start this off with I’m in Michigan shooting high 80s-low 90’s.

I ended up getting a free fitting at carls golf land because I liked how the P790s were feeling. Ended up going on a monitor and was hitting my seven iron straight 185 yards with 5500 spin (he fit me for 2 degree upright). I ended up buying them. Once I got them I went to the simulator going to the simulator and noticed that my spin was quite high (7,000+) and losing about 10 yards each club. Went to golf Galaxy. He said he probably would’ve put me in a stiffer shaft so I tried it. It was a bit better than when I switched back to my club. I was hitting it much better and said just play what I have as they should be fine for me.

I just find it very strange how one week I have a long iron(185 yards) then next week I have a distance loss with the same club. I’ve always had cavity back clubs, so maybe it’s just me getting used to the new club, but is it common to lose some distance switching into these clubs(10 yards every iron+wedge) I ended playing a round and noticed I was 10 yards shorter but all my misses seemed to be pretty straight. I don’t know if I’m just looking for a peace of mind or maybe some experiences switching into these clubs but after dropping $1500 I want to be sure I made a mistake.

    I use to hit my 7 iron 170 and pitch 140. Now it’s about 160 and 130
