Fred Couples within the past few years got rid of all his irons except his 7i, 8i, 9i, PW, and wedges. Everything else is rescues and woods.
I’m currently a 4 handicap and I’m about to copy exactly what Fred did. I’m almost 40 and been playing blades most of my life. I simply don’t play enough golf to justify blades these days.
I want to, because some outdated purist gatekeeper living inside me thinks this blasphemy, but the reality is play the game that can bring you the most pleasure and enjoyment.

Depends. How old are you? Any health issues? These are great for people with mobility issues. Man, make the game as easy as possible on yourself. There’s no reason to make the game harder than it needs to be. If this helps your game, then cheers.
