Inside Boston’s Newest $51,000,000 Golf Course – The International
Welcome to the international. It’s been a minute since we’ve been here, but it’s now like totally new. And this uh I think we got to do a little shopping to start off the uh the day. What do you think? You guys like this hat? I like that. Oh, Skye, this will look good on you, huh? Look at this. Oh, yeah. Yeah. See, this is what I’m talking about. You got to have stuff. This is my kind of private club. There plenty of Q-tips for everybody in here. All right, we got to get busy. Come on. What do you think? I mean, you’re at the international, so you got to have international gear. We’re playing the Pines’s course, so we got that, huh? You like how I matched the hat with with my belt? It’s a nice touch. I mean, you got to go high class at a high class facility like the international. the international. All right, this guy looks good, too. He changed back there. So, we got our hangers. We got our stuff. Onward. Look at this. You don’t see this too often. They have a barber shop right here at the international in the locker room chair. I’d totally get a trim if the guy was here. I love this. How’s this restaurant, dining area, bar windows? It’s nearly I mean I don’t want to say it’s almost 300 I’m not good with math but it’s almost a 360 degree view minus we’ll call 300°ree view of the Gulf secluded in just pine nature. We’ll call it nature before we hit the course. We got our man over here grilling some stuff up. breakfast time and we’re just going to give you the full experience of what it is. As if you come here, you’re a member for the day at the international. Bacon and egg, no cheese. Yeah. And then you want the same Sky. What do What would you like? Look at this thing. Two slice of bacon, egg on a toasted bun. [Music] Oh, that hits the spot. You do good work. Thank you. This is how you do it. You get your breakfast sandwich and you stare out over the Pines’s course. I think we hit the jackpot on the weather. We’re at the back of the range today. Double-sided range here. Oh my gosh. Multi-targeted. Hello, Prov V1 practice balls. [Music] I’ll get my prov. You don’t have to go fast. It’s really the slower you go, the better through the ball. Look, I’m just going slow through it. This would be going fast trying to get a lot of spin on the ball and you would do that. So, little tip for you as you uh warm up slower is going to be better. Little bit longer. Nice and slow. I did grab some coffee from inside. So, I mean, we’re in Boston. We’re just outside of Boston. Coffee better be good. It is. Uh they hooked us up with the Alfred Alfred Alfred Alfred uh remote push cart cuz we’re walking. It’s all walking with Adam and Anna. They work here. We’ll get to know them a bit as we play and show you every course. They’re going to give us all the real the real information about this place that you’re dying to know. Like how much to join here? They might not tell us that, but it’s a lot. Multiple tea options for us today. We’re going to play it from around 6,700 yards today. They said if I shoot 77 or better, I get an free honorary membership. They didn’t say no. That means yes in my book. First he shot core crunch pine course 47 yard par4. I feel like I could play my choice of four different holes right here. There, here, here, or here. Oh, thank you. Get past Adam. Get him. Almost hit his ball. What’s my 130 club today, Skye? What do you think? I hit it solid. Thank you. I was nervous about that’s like as much as I got with this club. Pitching wedge 130. Look, this is trademark core crunch. Natural environment, wispy grasses. Thank you for making it walking. Look behind us. I mean, you just got to sometimes you got to stop and enjoy the scenery. This is spectacular. Like that’s why when you’re going this way, just look behind you. Oh my gosh. Look at the grass laying down and everything. Look at that frame. Club out. I like it right there. Look at Adam. Like he he just barely missed the green. Look at that. All right. He got out. That’s no picnic in there. They’re bent grass, which is They’re 007 bent grass. No, 007 XL. I’m just afraid I’m going to fall in this bunker back here. You can never This be the end of the day. All right. Do you want to birdie the first hole, though? I don’t know if that’s a good sign or a bad sign. It’s a good start. I like these greens. That’s why they were so pure on that practice green in here. They’re 007 XL. I’m assuming that means they cost a lot of money. So this is the what they call the teeing area, not so what they do is like classic style golf is it’s just the teeing area. There’s no boxes. It’s this whole strip 406 par4. Okay, we got Adam here. Works at the international. What do you do here? I am the membership director. Okay, so what is your job mean? So essentially uh myself and an over here we help to give tours to prospects you know bring people out here pair them up with members uh overall continue to fill the club with amazing members here. Love it. Every member I’ve met here has been really nice. It doesn’t feel like one of those, let’s say, stuffy style clubs. Everybody’s just been cool and been like, “Hey, what’s your name? Who are you?” or whatever. Yeah, 100%. It’s a very, you know, relaxed luxury, you know, firstname club. Um, it’s a very welcoming membership. Um, everyone here is here for golf. You’ve got two amazing worldass golf courses. Uh, that’s what they’re here for. Now, everybody wants me to ask how much is membership here, but you guys don’t like to say because it the prices always change. Yeah, price is always changing every every season. I think, you know, over the last few years, um, you know, even going back to 2021. So, uh, if you’re interested, give me a call. Happy to happy to bring you out here for a tour. Ooh, it’s worth a call. Um, one I got like 120. So, we’re taking like a chippy little pitching wedge and we’re doing like one of those cuz you got to keep it down and just kind of hope for the best. Oh, that was pretty good. That’s really good. Kick left. Roll out. Nice shot. Yeah, good ball. Oh, hello. Hello. Hello. This is why you got to work on your pitch shots because from the fairway you have that a lot. Well, I do treat trouble a lot, but it’s all short game. All of it. See, this is what I love about great course designers is like I landed my ball like here and it rolled. That’s Anna. She’s one closest, too. She’s a great player. We’ll meet her in a sec. But, you know, I got maybe 15 feet for birdie. So, they give you options. Thank you guys. Is it? Okay. Okay. I kind of like like a 215 shot. Um 220 215. What do I hit? 215. Five. I’m going sevenwood. Oh, I hooked it a little. Stop hooking. Okay. I saw it bouncing. I just hooked it a little. We’re with Anna. You’re a great player, by the way. Thank you. Where’d you play? What’s your pedigree? So, I mean, I grew up playing since I was seven. So, and then I went to a golf academy in Hilton Head Island for high school in South Carolina. Wanted to stay in South Carolina. So, I played D2 golf. I’m not that good, like Matt says. Played D2 golf at Coker College, now Coker University in Hartsville, South Carolina. Love it. All right. What’s your title here at the international? I am the membership director. So, I work alongside Adam. I like how she said that. I am the membership director. Well, there’s two of us. That’s awesome. All right. Tell me about this uh hole we’re playing. Okay. So, par three from the tips. It’s playing about 241, but we promise Bill Core and Ben Crunchaw will never play the full course all the way back to the tips just cuz every par three here is a beast. This is the largest green on the course alongside hole number 13, which you’ll see later on. My gosh. Well, good shot. You’re the only one putting, so good job. Can’t wait to three putt. Just got to pop it out. All right, I’m putting. I’m happy about that. I feel like this hole can can destroy your life. So, this is a 502 yard par five. So, our first par five of the day. Little cut shot right in the fairway. Yeah. Yeah. or way right. So if you look all this they they started digging and they started digging up the this stuff. It was like a quarry is what they were telling me. And then Bill Corey just said, “Keep digging. See what’s down there.” And so they kept digging this stuff up. And it just gave this pine’s course a a shape that you wouldn’t know just on paper. Well, you get the tractors out here, you start moving Earth, and you start discovering so much. You guys are among the first people to ever see the Pines Course. It has just opened this month in August to the members. They let a few people play in July. It’s August now, 2025. So, we’re talking the inception of the Pines Course. All right, we’re giving you the full-on look here. I drove it over here. So, we’re we’re really just trying to get it in play. We’re back. Now, I don’t know about getting one back now on this hole, but we’re certainly going to try not to lose another one. They uh they just started the caddy program here this year uh at uh the international, too. So, Will’s our caddy today. I hit it right where I wanted to. Perfect. Here we go. All right. We have a we have a chance to get one back. That’s better than I thought after that T-OT. Oh, we’re going to blame my drive on that classic style. You come off this green and bam, you’re on the teeing area. Wispy grass, long par4, 422 yds. Turn. Okay, we’re safe. That is the only bunker that comes into play. This area that we can’t see is just a little runoff area um below the green. But that bunker left is the only thing that will kind of come into play if you kind kind of take it down at that little valley over there. Okay. 174 174 flag. Yep. Okay. This is what kind of the average person would face when they come out here. I’m doing that for you guys. You’re welcome. I hit a good drive, too. That’s what’s bad. But I just aimed in the wrong spot. 174. Okay. We’re going to go under this limb and play um a runner. There. Goal one achieved. So, what we’re gonna do is pretend I hit a great drive and play from there. Just It’ll be our third shot, not our second. We hit a really good sit. The grass. What kind of grass is it? Fescue. All fescue. All fescue fairways. Fescue fairway. Fes rough. Yeah. And then the greens are that 007 grass. So, fescue. Fescue 007 XL bent grass. It felt different going through. That was a good divot. I mean, you saw it. Felt good. That’s what you’re looking for right there. Good job, Bill and Ben. I’ll tell you, coming up to this green so far, I mean, every hole I’ve loved, and they’re spectacular, each in its own way, but so far, there’s a few holes in. Coming up to this hole is my favorite walk up to green experience so far. I feel like I’m in I don’t know, like a little town, like a little like nook almost like you’re a hobbit maybe, and you’re coming to your Shire. That’s what this kind of feels like. I towed it. That was my fault. I hit it off the toe of my putter which made it go left. Bogey. These greens are fast and pure. Watch this. Oh, I almost made that. Look at it. Just rolled out like 3 ft. All right, we got to lock in. Got to lock it in right now. Short is not going to be helpful. I think the wind is swirling actually. 169 par 3. Unpredictable wind. Gorgeous bunker in the front which we don’t need to play out of. Well, good thing I hit the seven. I didn’t even hit good. I might be in that bunker anyways. I guess you guys want a bunker review, so we’ll give it to you. I hit it decent. Get up. Almost. It was a tough one. There’s a slope there. Brand new hole here. Par five, 522. This used to be part of like a public 9-hole golf course. So, they got rid of that and this hole was uh created. I better not see anything but a field goal sign from him when this ball is done. That’s it. Sit, Will. I’m putting this on Will. We got it. We got the field goal. Come on, Will. All right. All right. We got 242. Little into the wind, but great angle. People never think about like there’s a mound in the fairway. You have to get airborne over that. So, you can’t hit that. I’m going fivewood cuz it’s going to roll for a while, right? Yes, it will. Right at it. Love it. Oh, that’s the best five I ever heard in my life. Oh, look at this. I’m going to show you something. Coming back. You look this way. Look at that house. Comment below. What movie does that remind you of? This look right here. Back to that house. Tell me. Tell me. I’ll leave it up to you. I got a few in my head, but I want I want to hear what you guys think. Reachable potentially par4 here. Maybe front edge if we really hit one. So, we’ll probably have a wedge in, but most people can reach it. Uh, 353 yard. It runs out, so we got a lot of run in the fairways. We got some helping wind. Let’s see what we got in the tank. Oh, I hit it high. A little right. I hit it really good, though. Got the field goal. That’s our motto. We’re close to the green, but I got to go left. I got to open the face. I got to go slow and just let everything happen and just try to land it right there and let it feed to the hole. I can go a little farther though. Okay, that’s where I aimed it. Come on down. That’s a great shot. See, I was playing say I can’t. You can’t go. That would have been silly. I’m happy. That’s quick as she gets right here. Turn. Turn. Wow. That’s as soft as I can hit it. Yeah. Thank you. Well, we try. We gave it a shot. It’s all we can ask for. We’re getting there. Look at Will go. He should be on the track team somewhere. Guy can hoof it. That’s what I’m talking about. What a great caddy program. Ninth hole. He’s Will told aim at the wizard tree. They call it that weird that little funky one. But big dog leg left 447 yard par4 into the wind. Great shot. Thank you. Come on. Field goal will. That’s what we’re talking about. It’s his new name. There’s a huge slope at the back of this green that’ll kind of if you put it past the pin, the ball will roll back. about 5 yards to work with um in the back, but I definitely play the higher number. I definitely play like a 170 club, 165 club um because it’ll all just slope back off that. Okay. Into the wind. Into the wind as well. So, definitely higher number. Okay. So, we’re going um 165 170 is a seven. We’re going one extra six cuz he says we can hit that slope and it rolls back. What a cool backdrop. The clubhouse there. Yeah, pretty good. This one’s going to be my favorite so far after I birdy it. [Laughter] Anna laughed. That’s She laughed. She laughed. All right. I don’t Hey, I don’t blame you. I would have laughed at me, too. I played out a little right. I need to catch a slope. Here it comes. Look at this. Yeah. Come on, Anna. I believe you now. Who’s laughing now? Good luck. I told Anna I birdie this hole and I try to be a man of my word. So I don’t want to let anyone down. I left it short. I was hoping this was a par4. It’s just it looks like a long hole. It’s par three, 210, giant green. Some helping win. We’ve sort of locked in. We’ve done well and given ourselves some looks. So, we’re going to try to keep that streak alive with a five iron here. Oh, it’s drifting right a bit. Oh, that was the right that was the right play. I just didn’t draw it. Coolers here. What do we got? What is this? Moss Plus by Messi. I don’t know. That might be out of my league. I’m kind of a water guy. Sky grabbed the Gatorade. What do we got in here? Oh, hello. Look at this. What do you want? You want a bar? M&M’s. Uncrustables. Fig Newton. I’m an M&M guy. Let’s go. Oh, almost went in. Longest hole on the golf course. Par five, 622 yds. And um and we’re carrying. It’s our first water of the day. Really? That’s that we didn’t play. Luckily, the wind is in our favor. So, we’ll keep it left center. or the fairway. Hopefully that’s it. We might be in it. Okay, we might be in the fairway bunker on the longest hole on the course. This hole, let me get my card out of the way so you could just see this hole. This par five, it just looks it doesn’t look like somebody made it. It looks like it’s just natural almost. This is spectacular hole. Sorry, I ran I ran I hit Sky with my cart. Good thing I didn’t hit it. A low sixiron. Is that okay? Oh, thank you. I barely carried the lip. Thanks. Although we were in a fairway bunker on a 600 plus yard hole, we only have 85 yards left for our third. We’re going 60° wedge. Lot of helping wind now. I probably want to carry this 75 and let it skip in. Well, that might do it. We did everything we wanted. There’s that magic, baby. There we go. Will said, “Make some magic happen.” I think we were close. This is my favorite fairway walk up so far, just because it just looked like something from another planet almost, but like a golfing planet. I’m going to say the greens, they’re at least 12, I think, rolling, maybe more. They’re fast. All right, 12fold. I like this. We We got to avoid the trees hanging over here on the right. So, we got to go left. It’s kind of center of the fairway. And we’ve got 412 yard par4. Great shot. Thank you. Do it. Will a 160 shot to the center of the green. This piece that we can see here, obviously, there’s some tree trouble. Wow. If you think you can get it up there, play like a 160 165 shot. You’ll have an uphill putt at it if you can hit that that small part of the green on the left there. Okay. What if I want to cut it around? Then you’ll have the flag I shot from here was a 165 shot. If you come up here, you can see it. Oh my gosh. Oh, it’s way back. Look at this. Look at this. Yeah, it’s way tucked right. Oh my gosh. I see it. Okay. Oh, it it drew. I drew it. Played a draw. Did you say cut? I’m sorry. We hit a We hit a draw. We were supposed to cut it. the Pines’s course at the International. It’s going to be I mean, we’ve got a number of holes to go, but start thinking about where you rank this in looks, design. It’s walkable, so that’s up there. That counts. natural, peaceful. There’s no We haven’t seen a home on the golf course. Haven’t heard a car. Just the pure golf. I’ll give you my rating at the end. I’ll tell you where I put it on my all-time favorites or if it’s even in my all-time favorites. Oh, he hooped it. Great putt. I didn’t manifest it. My manifestation skills are lacking. 13. Look at this. Now, looking at this hole, you would say it’s a par six. And you’d be wrong because it’s a par, not six, it’s a par 4. 484 into the wind. Look at that. I hit it. Perfect. There we go. There’s check out will. We got the field goal. Will is here. It looks like we’re hitting it into just forever land. 200 into the wind. It’s going to run. I’m going to go sevenwood, I think. Well, I I bailed way out, right? It’s trying to come back. All right, we’re on. We have the longest part of the day. How exciting. Let’s see if we got the pace right. Come back right. Come back right. Turn. Turn. Turn. Thank you. That feels like a birdie. Par three. This is gorgeous. We’ve got a downhill par three 192 to the flag. We’re going to try to play it out to the right a little and let use the slope and the terrain to bring the ball into the hole. Look at these bridges they built too on the left. It looks medieval almost. Okay. Wow. I hit it really good. Oh, go. Oh, here it comes. There’s a lot of wind up there that we can’t feel. We’ve got our little chipping work cut out for us. If we’re left of the flag stick, it’s going to roll where Anna’s ball is, way over there. We got layers and of we got to stay right. So I’m going 60°. I’m just want to carry kind of this first ridge and go right there and just hope it hope isn’t a strategy. You must be new. What was that from? Okay, I kind of did what I wanted. Stay. Stay. See, here it comes. The goal is the ball should not come back to me. It’s got to break a little right, doesn’t it? It’s not back at my feet. That’s a victory. All right. Not bad. Come on. Go. Go. Come on. Go. Go. Go. Wow. That’s probably better this way than the other way. Anyways, let’s be honest. Hole 15. We have an interesting pin location, we’re told. 460 yard par4. Oh, yeah. Great shot. Great shot. Very good. Thank you. Too far. You’re going to hit it about 190. 190, huh? 190. Okay. 190. Carry. Yeah. Carry at 190. Carry 190. Okay. You played out to the right. Yeah. There’s a big slope that comes backwards and right to left. So, just keep it a touch right. Yes. You like that? I love it. I hit it good. I love it. the carryover. It hit hit the top of the hill. Bounce, right? Oh, it’s going to be perfect. It says perfect. Thanks, my friend. This is the Wizard Tree we were aiming at on nine. You can get like uh Wizard Tree uh logo merch in the shop. Look at that thing. That’s what that is. Paul, the head of golf, who was helping me, which he should help me more often, said my ball was like 3 ft from the hole. I mean, Perfect. Picture perfect. Will’s been a spectacular caddy, but you show up and we just the the second hardest hole on the golf course and you give me the all the inside information. Look at this hole. Isn’t it cool? This is the coolest green. It’s like the punch bowl green at Crystal Down. Yeah. Wow. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Paul. Thanks, everybody. I’m out. No, I’m not out. We got more golf to play. Look at this par three. I mean, this is special. False front on the front right where that pin is. We’re playing a 130 yard number a little bit left of the flag. Oh no, I hit it good, too. I just went too far left. 17 408 par4 dog leg left. Our line are those fairway bunkers kind of at the dog leg. That’s our line made a little right, but we’re safe. Safe will. We like goalpost wheel, but we got safe wheel. This like my two something club. We’ll play a cutter up that right side and let it funnel down next to the hole. [Applause] Oh, we need a big kick. Might get it. Here it comes. Oh. Oh, thank you. Par five. As soon as we’re done, I’m going to tell you where I ranked this in my all-time favorites. 578 yard par five. Here we go. Oh, well, I can’t carry it. But we went through it, Adam. Huh? We got the field goal. I towed it. Oh, we’re right. Still going. That’s how you play this hole. Apparently 265 flag. Let’s see if we can finish strong. I can roll it up a lot of the ways, too. Yep. Yep. Oh, I knew it. My ball was just sitting down like that. 80. All right. Perfect little 60. Good. It’s my friend Wade back there clapping it up. The International 36 holes. They got the oaks world class. They got the Pines ultra worldass course. Private club wise, it’s top five for sure that I’ve seen. So great job. As far as golf, this is world class place special. Great job, Bill Core Ben Krenshaw International. Links below. If you’re looking for something super cool, I’m sure they got a package that’ll work for you. Peace.
Does anybody make better golf courses than Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore? This CooreCrenshaw redesign of the Pines Course at The International is going to be a contender for the Best Golf Courses in America list very quickly.

31:02 Hmm I must not see the hole…
Very enjoyable.
Remember, you are only about a 30 minute drive to America's worst course, Ponkapoag in Canton, MA…do it!
Texas chainsaw massacre.
An American surprised about walking a round of golf. It’s exactly how it should be!
100,000k initiation fee. If anyone is wondering
How much does it cost? Prices vary from $30,000 to $100,00 for the initiation fee with annual dues of $12,000. Prices are lower for younger members before the age of 40. And that information came from a 2021 email to former members as well as prospective members. Undoubtedly these prices will be higher today.
What belt is that? I want one. You have a link?? @mrshortgame
Seven Days In Utopia.
This course is about half a mile from my house. One day I hope to meet a member who will let me play it.
lol i live in bolton
Not sure why the membership directors are so hesitant to say the prices…”they’re always changing” followed by a laugh. 75k for a 1 time initiation fee (at the start of 2025) plus monthly dues and food/drink/pro shop costs built in. Some people have said 100k now…I’d heard they considered doubling the price. The comment at the end of the video saying to call, I’m sure they have a package at a cost for you….come on bro, you know only the elite of the elite have that kinda money to throw around like that
I live a couple miles away, used to Caddie there when I was a kid. They'd give us free passes to play at their old public course, Twin Springs, which you see the remnants of on the 7th. Awesome to see you out this way shining a light on a hidden gem!
Reminds of the Twin Spings – Clubhouse Number 2.
your not even close to Boston liar!!! the international is in Bolton
check for deer tics after going in the brush.
Gotta give a shout out to the superintendent and whom ever grew that in. After all today’s Superintendents Day!
The house reminds me of Signs
How do you get fescue cut that short and thick? I’ve never heard of fescue fairways
Love when you do these types of videos
I live 5 min away. I would love to be a part of the grounds crew.
We need to tax the rich.
Great video 👍🏌🏻⛳️
Hindi dubbing thanks
I had connections through my dad to play the course when attending Boston University and the Club was owned by ITT. I recall the Pines had Tiger Tees well before Tiger Woods was even born. Robert Trent Jones stretched the course to 8,300+ yards. Thank you for sharing your opportunity to play this course and allowing me to relive memories playing the course with my dad and his buddies back in the mid '70s.
This place looks amazing. So beautiful. Kudos to the course being walkable.
That house reminds me of Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
If I’m being completely honest!😳
Imagine if you could just putt!😂
Rip twin springs
It looks like they turned the old course into an impossible difficult course for the average player.
Great Presentation of The International. I played there in the 1970s. Did you play this in September?
nice to have excess cash….
