My trip to *The World’s Second Best Island* – Koh Chang, Thailand 🇹🇭. I spent a few days exploring its beautiful beaches like White Sand Beach, Chai Chet Beach, Kai Bae Beach, and the famous Lonely Beach. Even though it was low season and pretty quiet, it was the perfect mix of relaxing days, tasty Thai food, and a little bit of nightlife. Koh Chang really has it all – from stunning sunsets to chilled beach vibes.

Hey, good morning from Bangkok. So, I was chilling
by the pool after that crazy night that you saw in my last episode. So, I was chilling here drinking
the last beer I had on my fridge. Unfortunately, I chilled a bit too long because I
missed my flight. But fortunately, they rebooked me on the next one. So I spend
a bit of my afternoon at the airport. And now it was time for boarding. So it took an
hour for my flight to reach the TR airport, which I reach around 400 p.m. It’s a very small
like regional airport. So once I arrived there, yeah, we took a little cart, looks like a golf
cart, and uh we took a ride around the airport. It’s very pretty. And here you have all those
like bushes cut like little elephants. Yeah, that’s pretty cute because yeah, co chang
means elephant. So after that I had to catch uh those kind of mini bus from the airport and
they drive us to the ferry because it’s a 30 minutes for a fairy ride to reach Coang from
Ryan. Yeah, there are elephants everywhere around here. And here’s our ferry. We’re about
to board pretty soon. Oh, careful little buddy. We all boarded the ferry and waited here. Can see
have all those seats there. And look at the view. It’s really beautiful. Yeah, lots of students too
on their way back to the island because a lot of them study on the other side. But look at this.
Wow. So nice. I had to use a bathroom. Luckily, I didn’t have to do number two. As you can see,
it’s an old school squat toilet. So, I walk on the deck to have a view of outside. Wow. And it’s
really nice the view on the mountains over there. And here we go. All aboard. Direction Cochang
Island. Yeah, it was pretty windy actually. Yeah. So, it was around 6:00 p.m. now. So,
you can see the sunset. Very beautiful. And not so long after that, we reached the island
and I jumped on the s and went straight to my hotel, which was a little lodge nearby. And on the
main street, I hit that very cool dispensary shop. It’s called 7 Haven. So, if you have the chance
to visit Coang, you should definitely go there. And they have a original uh broccoli green tea.
How can I say? And it’s all products like grown on the island. So, it’s pretty good. So, I
chilled there for a while. And after that, I went to grab something to eat. I walk a
little bit. There wasn’t much around, but yeah, I got some typical like a steer fry Thai food with
a papaya salad and of course a good old Chang beer to wash this out with ice like they do here. So
after that, I head back to my room to get ready for tomorrow. Oh, and also I forgot I got some
prawn also, the fry one. They’re pretty good, too. So yeah, it was time for me to go to bed.
Yeah. So the next morning I woke up. Sorry I forgot to took footage of the little hostel
when I was staying. It’s kind of you have your own private lunch. It’s pretty cool. But yeah,
there was one of the only place open because of low season. So the bamboo is called. So yeah,
I went inside as you can see like it’s really nice like very old like pie style and you see
had all those like digital nomad working there. It was a cloudy day, but I still want
to see what the beach looked like. So, yeah. Here we go. Let’s check it out. Oh, wow.
Look at this. Yeah, with the swings attached by the tree. Looks very good. But we think because it
rains a night before, the tide was very high. So, it’s a very cool small little resort here,
but very quiet because it’s low season. So, I went on the beach. I took a
couple pictures and videos. Yeah, it’s really nice over here. But yeah, like because
it was a rainy day, like you can see the tights and the waves are pretty strong. So, not the best
day for to go swimming. But yeah, still though, pretty good day to chill on the beach and uh yeah,
just to relax on the bed chair and do nothing or look at your phone like those guys. Yeah, it
was like around 11. I didn’t had breakfast, so I was hungry. So, I got myself a milkshake
and this one. Yeah, they had a deal on the kind of chili crab with noodles. Not exactly like
a chili crab like Singapore, but it was Yeah. a tiny crab with like hot noodles like a
bit like a in a pad thai seasoning and yeah, it was pretty good. So yeah, I ate my lunch
there or brunch I would say at this time. After I finished eating, I walked for
maybe 15 20 minutes and I ended up on this beautiful beach. Wow, so nice. Yeah,
this beach is called Chaiet Beach and it was great because of low season. Not many
people there. But uhoh, look what I found. So, I decide to take a little dip and the water
was really good cuz even if it was cloudy, it was pretty hot over there. But the water
was kind of cool and everything. So, yeah, it felts great. And now like the the rain
stopped like more people were coming in. So yeah, I decide to walk around the
shore and yeah, it was really nice, very beautiful. I can’t imagine what it looks
like like on a sunny day during high season. Look. Yeah, I like that island. I decided to follow the sidewalk to see where
it goes. And it bring me to a nice resort where I sit and chill there for rest of the day.
And wow, look at this view with the mountain. Oh, beautiful. Yeah, that couple were
having a good time taking so many pictures. I think they stay there for almost two
hours taking pictures, but why not, you know, with that view. Wow. Yeah. As the
day went by, I decide to walk back. So, yeah, I decide to chill a little bit more. I found a
little spot here. See my sandal. I sit on the sand here for a while. And after that,
I decided it was time to go. So I walk back considering the sunset and as you can see
this place is beautiful when the sun goes down. Yeah. I kept walking back and uh yeah, I realized
there were a bunch of like restaurant were like pretty busy like this one here even low season.
So yeah, I decide to walk a little bit more in the water. The tide was pretty high. There
was barely any room to walk on the beach. So I decide to hit the road. But on my way back it
start raining. So I stop at this little shop on the side of the road. Yeah. A little mom and pop
shop. And of course, I got a beer. And I got some like salad with those kind of Thai sausage. And
also this one was some spicy fish like with rice. And all while watching volleyball, which is very
popular over there. Oh, and while I was walking, I met this little buddy here. He’s a very famous
dog on this island. He’s a treelegged dog, and he helped me find my way all the way back to
the lodge where I was staying. and even defend me against some like aggressive soy dog who
came near me. So yeah, he spent the night in front of my house and he left the next morning.
Hey there. Yeah, actually it wasn’t my house, my lodge. But yeah, it’s like a tiny house. So
I walked from there and I went back to White Sand Beach since it was a sunny day and the
tides were lower. So yeah, I decide to take a morning walk there with a coffee and look around
since yesterday was a I couldn’t walk there. Wow, look at this. So nice. But
once again, after maybe 30 minutes, the tights were already pretty high. So, and
I find another like cool little spot here with those swings. Very good for your IG. And I decide
to walk in the water a little bit. But after that, it was time to jump on a site and go to
the next stop, which was Kai Bay Beach. Let’s go. Yeah. Once I get there, like as usual, I
walked around. But you see a difference how how more beautiful is
it today with that weather. Yeah. So I walk around there and I find a
little spot and I spend the afternoon chilling there. Yeah. There were a couple people,
some few tourists and some Thai families, but it was mostly pretty quiet. So
which I like because I went there to have a good chill and relaxed
time. So yeah, it was great day. Yeah. And got a little sun migite. And look at
the view. It was getting late. So, after my beer, I decided to walk back. Wow, look at this.
So relaxing. Yeah. And if you don’t know, Kai Bay Beach has a pretty cool like a small
town vibe. Oh, and here one more doggy. Hi. Yeah, there are dogs everywhere on the island. Here
we go. And you see like one more here. Oh, and one thing you only see in Thailand,
an elephant crossing the street. Yeah, I decide to hit the beach one last time
because it was so nice over there. And I took a bunch of uh photos and videos before I
went back to my hotel and I thought, “Ah, you know what? F that. I’m going to have one
more beer here.” So, yeah. And on my way back, oh, I bump into more this time some uh beach
soy dogs. Yeah, they were pretty nice though. Bye. So, after that, I hit a little
local spot here. Have a little a little meal with a beer. Oh, and I also
saw like they had a Muay Thai gym, too. So yeah, and after that it was evening. So I
headed to that uh cool dispensary. I went they have two locations on the island. This one
is a Kai Bay shop. And after I went to bed and the next morning, here I am at the Carb DM
Hotel near Lonely Beach. Really cool hotel. Only less than $20 a night. Private room, a pool, and
the staff too. They’re really nice. No worries. Right. Good day, mate. Yeah. So, if you’re
Australian, you might understand all those terms. Yeah. It’s an a hotel. They’re super nice. And I
decided to walk to get something for breakfast. And you can see here all those mom and pop own
shop around the convenience store. And here I got some yummy roti with Nutellan banana in this shop.
And they have also really good like smoothies and it’s very cheap. So yeah, if you’re on the near
Lonely Beach, you should definitely try this out. So I walk all the way to Lonely Beach. Yeah.
And here you have this cool LB complex. And yeah, you see I just went there. They have a really
nice terrace. So I decide to stop there to eat some lunch because actually I woke up late. I had
a late breakfast, but I was still hungry. So here we go. I decided to sit there. I got that kind
like you know the sweet like meat with pineapple and everything with rice and a sand migite. Wow.
Look. And you’re right. It feels like that you’re on a boat or something. It’s pretty cool. And
look at this beach. Yeah. So beautiful with all the palm trees around. So I just find a spot in
the white sand and put my stuff there. There was a little convenience store. I got a few beers
and a couple of snack and a you see like a lots of you have lots of those swings also around. Here
you go. A bunch of Chang and Leo beers with ice. And I spent the afternoon there chilling. It
was really nice. Look how the view. Yeah. Yeah. I wish I could have spent more days. Seriously,
if you can go like Lonely Beach and especially in low season because it’s not crowded like I
I really recommend it. Like and just before I was about to go, the sun came out again. So
I just Oh, it’s still a little bit longer. And how about one last
swim? Yeah, sorry I’m hairy. Wow, this place is gorgeous. And it was
in the late afternoons. I had the beach basically all by myself for maybe an hour
or two. Oh, and here the sun came out again. Yeah. And later on a few locals like
came to the beach for the sunset. A lot of book readers actually.
And wow, look at this view. Yeah, so gorgeous. And during sunset time, I
stay there, took a lot of videos and pictures because it was so nice. I decide to
have one last dip before going back. But now I think it was time for dinner. So I walk
back to the village and I hit that cool spot that I was going almost every night. Yeah, this one.
I got some meat, rice, and of course a beer like as usual. And I went to this nightclub where
they light up the counter just for me. Oh yeah, it was fun. Even if there was only a few people,
there was a good vibe. Got a couple drinks, chat with them. It was cool. And after that, I hit
a second club. And this one, yeah, there was like guys doing like snippet on the dance floor. Well,
this one was cool, too. Has more like a crazy like a party vibe like it was called a ting tang.
Yeah, it was good time. Oh, sorry. Tink Tong, not Tink Tang. So, the next morning I woke up and it
was a rainy day in the village, but I decided to go to that place where I had the breakfast the day
before because I had to do some work on my laptop. So, yeah, you see it was pouring really hard. So,
yeah, that’s our problem when you go into Thailand September, you can never predict that. But yeah,
I just sit here on the table and do some work on Canva and yeah, had a coffee and chill there a
little bit. Oh, and I did some laundry, too. And after that, I walked back to my hotel. Yeah, the
view was really nice. So, once I got to my room, I did a little bit more work on my computer
cuz it rains like uh almost until like late afternoon. But when the rain stopped, I chill by
the pool. But later on, it was evening again. So, I went to had dinner. So I just find like some
shop like walking around. Got a beer there and got one last paya salad with a beer and it was
time to go to bed because the next morning the mini bus came to pick me up for a 5 hours drive to
Paya. So we left the the island and drove all the way to the ferry. Here we go. So now on our way
back to mainland Thailand. So this is the end of this adventure on beautiful Cochang Island. And
