Testing a super old illegal golf ball. Now, this is a Spalding Crow flight ball. It originally came out in the 1920s and got banned in the 1970s. And I know what you’re thinking. Why would a golf ball get banned? Uh, well, this one was not actually because of the American British golf ball war that was going on, but rather the fact that this ball has a liquid core. So, because of that, I wanted to throw it in my sweet spot checker and see if I would get a line. And it looks like I did. But basically, these balls were the first of their kind to ever have some sort of liquid inside. And I’m really curious to see after 50 years if there is liquid and if it affected it. But as you can see here, the line goes kind of right through the K and the R on both sides. Looks pretty solid. And tomorrow I’m going to be cutting it open.
