Zero torque putters. Let’s discuss what are they all about. So here’s Callaway Odyssey Callaway’s version of an AI1 putter. You can see when I balance it on my finger here, it’s going to balance towards the target. If I find the balance point, which is about there. See how it’s balancing that way. Your putter in your bag at home probably will balance this way or even have to hang down this way. So what we get is we get this concept which is predominantly center shafted. So you see the shaft in the center of the putter. It’s also set back on this one from the face and it has handle lean built in. And what it’s doing is it’s going to in theory reduce the amount of twist with your putter head because with a putter that is balanced that way, so towards the kind of plane of movement it’s moving along, it’s going to resist twist a little bit more. If you’ve got a putter that’s balanced this way, you have to then kind of pull it into place and then it might have some more desire to move. Now, one isn’t better or worse than the other. Remember, these are just super hot and fashable at the moment, and lots of people are talking about them, and that’s often what happens in golf. You’re going to find loads of people who use these to great effect. You’re going to find people who don’t use them, also great putters to great effect. So, why would you go for something like this? I’m finding for golfers, if you’re struggling with a little bit of confidence with your putting, you’re looking for some different answers, these will offer some different feels and some different answers in your putting. And sometimes that can just trigger the right emotions to help people feel like they can start the ball on a better line, even start feeling the pace a little bit better and hopefully hauling and getting a few puts a little bit closer to the hole.
