Scott, congratulations. You are the Barbados Legends Champion. How does it feel? It’s very nice. Um feel like I’ve won it twice, but I really haven’t. Just just once. It’s uh nice to redeem after last year’s loss to to Bakes in the playoff. So, it feels good. Obviously, you want to win every week, but how much extra motivation was it how close you came 12 months ago? Yeah. Well, obviously when you lose a playoff in any tournament, you feel like the golf course sort of suits you. And um this morning I woke up, I thought, well, it’s a bit windy. If I could try and go out there and get my score to a double double digits, might get lucky. One over path for your round early and then you absolutely caught fire. Y what prompted that? Uh a three putt from 3 ft for birdie. Sort of put a bit of a match underneath me and sort of concentrate a bit harder. And then I got around the back n had another three putt from about I don’t know 15 18 ft for just off the green and I sort of flicked the switch to concentrate and try and play how I should. It was pretty nip and tuck most of the way until you really put your foot on the accelerator at the back end of the back nine there. How aware were you of how things stood? I looked at the board when we came through nine and saw that I was maybe one or two shots behind through nine holes and I thought, well, if I can get out there and try and post something, then funny things happen in golf tournaments in in final rounds. You won on your Legends Tour debut in 2023 at Winston Golf. You’ve had five runners up on the Legends Tour since then. Another on the Asian Tour as well. How sweet does it feel after those near misses to get your hands on this trophy? I mean, second’s nice cuz you get paid, but first is better because nobody really remembers second, as they say. And if you’re not first, you might as well be last. No, just joking. It’s great. It’s nice. I I love collecting trophies and uh whichever tour they’re on, I’ll take a trophy at any point in time. And it’s just great to be back in the winner circle again. Runner up in Marbaya first week of the year. The win now you’re right at the top of the order of merit. How much do you want to stay there all season? Long way to go. Long long way to go. A lot of tours to play between now and then as well. Great playing this week, Andy. Thanks. Appreciate it.
