Putting Tee Drill – John Hughes Golf
The most convenient swing aids you can use is in your pocket, a tee. And when you combine two tees to assist you with controlling the face of the putter, you just might become a better putter.
Within this video, John Hughes, PGA Master Professional of Instruction explains a putting drill using tees and an alignment stick to ensure the putter face is square to the target line. The drill involves placing two tees at the outside width of the putter and aiming to hit both simultaneously.
This drill assists golfers with striking the ball squarely in the middle of the putter. While understanding if they tend to drift the putter face to the hell or toe as they swing. When you can hit both tees consistently at the same time, you’re going to start the ball online more often. As well as control your distances better.
As you perform this drill be sure to make the necessary adjustments in where you place the golf ball within your stance. Sometimes this is all it takes to hit the ball flush. As well as adjust how the lie of the putter is as you address the ball.
