Is that snow yikes 😳
got the sq to sq Jailbird, no real difference between the feel between it and my Odyssey 7, sent it back. I've tried the LAB DF3 in the store too. I tried a little test and lightly gripped the tip of the putters and swung them like a pendulum. There is such little torque created by swinging a putter I think this tech isn't really needed. Once you grip and hold a putter with two hands, your body is created it's own torque that you must control.
I cannot wait to test out these putters but the alignment features on the #7 is very appealing to me, great review.
Poster: So out the box are you saying that for the Price Point the Putter Grips have the necessary grip options? The grip options are the failure of that Putter being made in my book. Who buys a brand new vehicle with leather and takes it to put new leather in it after paying full price for it? 🤨 Answer? NOBODY… 🤣 You buy it the way you want it. 😉
Maybe it feels firmer because its freezing outside indicated by snow on the ground ☃️
Tried one in-store and it was way too short for me. I’m 6’6” and the 35” felt like it was 34”. If you’re tall I would order as long as you can, 35.50”, and leave the grip off so you can get it extended. Tried a 38” DF3 and it was much nicer IMO cost more I know but could be worth it in the long run.
Went to my local golf galaxy today and hit a few putts to compare the LAB DF3 and the Odyssey S2S Jailbreak and came away very impressed with the Odyssey. It's so smooth and the insert is fantastic feeling. The LAB is just not my cup of tea I guess because I didn't really feel like it was anything special. I honestly liked the Cobra Vintage Nova the 2nd best of the about 15 putters i tested out while there.
Just thought of a fix: adjustable hosel adapter for zero torque putters. It happened with drivers. Why not putters?
Great explanation
My only thoughts are if it’s such good technology how come it was binned off in the past with backstryke, etc, and we are constantly told we need to release the putter for a decent stroke but this forces you to curtail the natural release.
