What are the rest times on the pump volume for leg extensions and curls yesterday? I know Hani Rambod does his FST-7 program with 30-45 seconds rest for an exercise at the end of the workout.
1 good set of Squat and Deadlift then doing the rest with other movements is what I love doing most. Much more enjoyable. I don’t really like doing 3 sets of squats and deadlifts especially if it’s higher rep… good for a novice obviously but past that it’s a different story.
Get yourself a FID bench leg extension/curl add-on so you can do them properly in your high rep, high volume structure.
Rogue also makes a modular rack add on for this, I believe.
Have you studied the topic of whether gaining muscle coaxes the body to hold less fat? I mean it's one thing to be able to consume more calories, but it's quite another to stave off the side effects (i.e. exhaustion, poor sleep) that come from getting "too lean". I put "too lean" in quotes, because I'm referring to the physiology's perception of what's too lean versus what's acceptable. Since added muscle elevates bodyweight, maybe that elevation in bodyweight convinces the physiology to be less resistant to further fat loss
