Ill definitely try this one. The last 8 tips helped. Ive almost parred my home course. Thanks my man

Played 9 the other day had the course to myself and thought about your lessons and advice took my time and had the most fun I've had for n a while. 9 pars 🙂
PS, I might be the only idiot out here who does this but I have putters with soft faces for fast greens and some with hotter faces for slower greens and it let's me keep the same putting tempo.
That was a great video, keep them coming !
Here we go, Thank you Mr. Short Hitter
Another great tip video, I've always been a lag putter, I don't like getting to aggressive with my putts, especially down hill.
My dad always told me the speed of a putt is more important than the line, you can be off by one foot on your line, but if your speed is right, it’s a 1 foot tap in.
Thanks MSH. Always giving the best golfadvice. God be with you. "Hit'em straight "
Great video, yes some great advice for everyone. I start at 3ft the go to 10,20 and 30 ft that’s before my round, if i am practicing I start lagging putt across the green to the fringe 70ft, then work back to 3 ft. I am a little of a geeky sometimes and I try to ask our Superintendant has he cut the greens on the day or rolled them, that’s if I get to see him before I go play. I am going get in his ear this week on types of grass for greens, superintendents are great guys and I alway than him for his teams work on the course.👍🏌️♂️🇨🇦
MSH thanks for the ideas on lag putting, I like the return putt to the ball marker, great idea! I like many struggle with the 3x putt, and almost always its the poor lag that causes stress, tension and 3x putts. Whenever the practise green is free I practise lag putting to two different holes. I alternate putts to 30 foot & 20 foot, I believe this is helping me get a feel for the distance and hopefully training the mind & stroke.
It looks like you live in the Chicago area. Do the golf courses in your area stay open year round? I live in Holland MI and the courses I golf at close around Halloween and do not open until the middle of April. I get to Chicago once a month or so for work and If there are courses open over there after Halloween, please let me know. I may bring my clubs and try to get a round in if I can sneak out of work.
Just realized that your 500th video will soon be here, we need to do a live chat for that one?
A couple of observations at my course… A putt left inches short – "Not up, not in mate". Well, I've never seen a putt that's finished 3 feet past the hole go in either! "Well, if you hit it with more pace, at least it has a chance to go in". Maybe, but I'd rather be left with a 3 inch tap-in than a possible 3 putt from going too long.
I go with MSH, and try and have it die in the hole.
May I suggest walking in from behind the ball (ball between you and the hole) for better distance analysis practice. When ya stand over the putt and tilt your head you're basically monocular (nose blocking the trail eye). Standing behind or over the ball gives you better binocularity for 3D vision and proprioceptive feedback.
(Gratuitous big words)😅
A lot of great nuggets here. If i'm struggling with feel, one of my go to drills is lagging with my eyes closed. take your 20, 30 footers and line them up. take a few practice strokes with your eyes closed. Address the putt and close your eyes again. Take the stroke and see the result. This drill, for me, heightens my sense of feel. Curious if you've ever tried that one and your thoughts. It really helps me with distance control, this one isn't about accuracy.
Hey Kirk, my name is Tom. I was the one that ran into you the other day-my son is a freshman golfer at Lincoln way west. Keep up the good work Champ!
Been an above knee amputee pretty much since I was 12, now 41. Haven't played a sport since up until my prosthetic company turned me onto the adaptive tournaments 2 years ago. Played a couple this year, Indiana and Michigans, and just joined my first local league! I'm no where near a good golfer but I'm getting better! Thank you for the content and keep up the good work!
great tips, thanks!
Thanks!
Great video on lag putting, I have done this drill before but have not visited it recently. Looks like I need to revisit. Thanks, Kirk
6:40 I've been doing this for a while now. Aiming for the fringe instead of a hole really helps with focusing only on the speed and not the break. It has helped my speed control significantly.
I always leave my buggy along way from the flag and then hit my ball back to the wheel of my buggy just of the green . HAHA extra practice times 18 Regards from Peter Sydney Australia.
My biggest problem is being able, in a timely manner to walk up to the hole, observe the grain and walk to my ball from the hole. The issue is in a foursome someone’s line is always in danger of being walked on or it takes way too much time to walk around or step over while paying attention to the details of the putt you must make,
