man I don’t know how entertaining that round was to play it sure was entertaining to call but you follow up a really good one yesterday great start today especially on the back nine and held it together they’re coming in yeah um I felt the conditions kind of got a little bit tricky um to to an extent and the pins I think some of the pins were a lot tougher today especially the par 3s you couldn’t really get close to the one on uh 16 uh 15 you can’t get close to that pin downwind uh um and then uh is it the front one on seven yeah the front pin on seven it’s just you can’t really get close to that so I hit two really good six IRS into those two holes uh but parting from outside 35 ft uh on the on the seventh is tough but apart from that I’m really happy with today really stuck in there well hitting the ball great off the te uh my long iron play can improve a little bit um but I still hit some really nice shots so yeah happy you made golf easy yesterday it probably didn’t feel as easy today but when you compare and contrast what are still two really good rounds of golf is it just that’s golf or is it something you’re even more proud of today even though the score wasn’t the same yeah exactly I I don’t think two days are the same so you have to roll with the different days and you need to deal with you know you might your swing might not be on or you might not be hitting it the way you wanted to a couple eight irons left uh early doors and it didn’t throw me but it didn’t make me as comfortable as as yesterday so had to adjust a little bit hit some really nice shots coming in with my and and uh and yeah that’s what you got to do as a professional so I was happy with that you’ve talked a lot about your motivational tactics over the last couple of weeks whether it’s starting thinking you’re overpar and having to Rally back you’re obviously not overpar going to the weekend what’s your mental I guess reset going in the weekend now playing well and how you want to motivate yourself going into an important Saturday yeah uh well it might not be a surprise to you that I’ve got a slightly different mindset going on right now where I’m taking a lot of the outcome out of my golf um I’m taking care of my business what I can do and putting the best move on it as possible and hopefully that should with with what I’ve seen on the Range my dis my shots should stay in the dispersion patterns that I’m seeing so um if I hit the ball as well as I can and try to do that my dispersion patterns are quite tight so I’m really happy with that I’ve done that the last two days I did that last week at uh New Orleans when I was playing with Toon you know so it’s I’m in a good spot and I can keep doing that and then I’m I’m rolling the ball well on the green so I’ve kind of got everything there it’s a fascinating answer really appreciate good luck tomorrow cheers appreciate that Matt you might be the only guy that’s made two at 14 today right what’s what’s your strategy there strategy today was hit it as hard as I could really um that pin was was really tricky if you lay it up there’s a massive Ridge about five yards short short of it that you you can’t lay it far enough back to get some Spin and then it’s quite a tight pin so my strategy today was get it as close as possible but not be in the bunker right and obviously not in the water left so hit as good a shot as I can I know I could get probably to the front on a really good one and I’ve just I’ve I’m obviously confident so I swung it a little bit fast a bit quicker and I hit it perfect on the right line little draw and uh I pitched it about 315 into the wind and then rolled her in so I’d like to be able to do that all the time uh and I’d make quite a lot of money if I did that but now I know what it feels like to be Rory I need to ask you about that second shot on the last hole the last hole Yeah well I thought I hit a really good t- shot I hammered it down the left side and I thought you know what that’s that’s the Short Line it’s going to be tight to the trees but I didn’t think it would hit it but I think it hit the tree came down obviously got a little bit lucky hitting the cart path and just staying there and when I got up there I was like oh no bother but I haven’t hit it off hard mud in a while so I took it back with a two onon I thought the two onon was was the place to get it a bit further up than just the forine and be left uh the two would take out the the water from what I thought um but I got caught on the way back and then on the way through I didn’t you know want to lean on it a bit so I just tried to pick it and I picked it too much and I topped it so I haven’t topped one in a while but I’m laughing now because I’ve managed to find it and and get it up and well into the green and T what’s like the next minute and a half or two minutes like when well I was I was I was hoping I was hoping they found it so then I could at least you know try and make a five that way um if not a lot two scenarios went through my head I was like right where can I Dro this to get it on the green but then obviously found it so as soon as I found it I was like right you got you got a bit of luck there so take take ADV vage of it so as unlucky I got off the tea a little bit I think I got away with that one got lucky there by probably get taking it on I got a little bit lucky so um happy with a five and we go we carry on thank you thank you
