[Applause] the atmosphere is rockers I think they’re around 2,000 from Stoke inside this Arena Richie yeah they really do travel well don’t they The Stoke fans for Nathan Heeney got such good support he started fairly positively on that front foot for them and he seems to Revel in all the atmosphere

Heeney is this overachiever at 34 very much living the dream great shot by Heeney sharp right hand yeah and as Brad Falls is coming forward Fletch he’s got to move the head most definitely but he’s just got to watch out for the right hand from heene he’s quick Off the Mark

Here and as Brad Paul moves in gets into distance with it CL tries to close the gap then he whips a little right hand over the top so he’s got to keep Paul has got to keep his left hand his lead hand a little bit higher [Applause]

Oh good work there from Heeney good right hand left up went in from him again Brad Pauls is probably just struggling um with the distance bit flat-footed moving forward and he’s his attacks just feeling is falling just a little bit [Applause] short see at this stage that’s probably

The only chance that Brad Paul’s got have Landing a real good shot shot is if Nathan he misses the target he almost did there you see with that jab if he actually misses the Target and Brad Pauls then just times that counter with the right hand and he’s got a chance to

Catch Heeney over stretching a little bit but at the moment he’s been quite accurate with that lead hand of is he’s this sry his timing is quite good that’s that’s better from Paul’s yeah right hand long right hand just caught the side of he his jaw that was always the

Jeopardy against Bentley the possibility of Bentley finishing the fight with one punch and he kept out of range and kept his concentration and boxed a very clever fight that night Nathan heing moving towards the final minute of the fourth round competitive fight for the British middleweight

Title it’s a good taste about it Richie yeah it’s a good contest isn’t it this round again I think Nathan hey for large parts of it has managed to keep it at distance behind that strike see that’s a good shot that’s a better shot from Pauls has managed to keep his distance well

[Applause] here oh that was a good left H there from from heene started that off followed up with a decent right hand as well he put his punches together well there round [Applause] five Brant Paul’s looking to respond with that left took good right hand from hey and another one right on the

[Applause] chin one thing he would say about Heeney is is sometimes when you see a Fighter box with his mouth open it indicates they’re tired Heeney does that doesn’t he that’s the way he does it yeah that is the way he does it and uh every

Contest you see Heeney like that he’s a thick kid no doubt about it Nathan [Applause] Heeney there’s that lead hand workk that KL was talking about from Nathan heing yeah and what basically that does obviously you know you’re scoring points with that you’re keeping the opponent um

Off balance but also if he keeps scoring with that shot Nathan in it frustrates Brad Paul and what Pauls will do then he’s come over that front foot thinking he’s behind and that’s when you walk onto bigger shots so it’s it’s a it’s good work with the lead hand from Heeney

But again he’s getting competitive Brad Paul’s having a bit of success himself he’s and he’s growing in confidence halfway through the seven right hand from [Applause] hey another right hand from hey right down the pipe that one they were cheering that one in his [Applause] Corner both men in fantastic

Condition now the Nathan Heeney crowd in full voice here in Birmingham yeah he’s having to work for it but um get on with the better [Applause] shots there’s blood around the face of Nathan he now probably coming from the nose you’d suspect yeah little long right from Pauls and hey against the

Ropes that was a good shot the G Shields out hey in trouble really good Salo here from Pauls really accurate strong hard punches the brilly champion hanging on a little bit him there yeah big shots from Paul’s that was an excellent um display attacking display from Pauls there that was superb just

Wondering whether was stopping there and look oh look at Steve Wood Ryan he’s just taken as long as he possibly can to get that gum Shield back into Nathan Heeney but Brad pulls there just exploded with shots that was great work from him that’s the best we’ve seen from the Challenger

Tonight and he was just unraveling a little bit there Nathan hey now how much is the head clear Brad Pauls we know has power he looking to fight off the ropes man it to go in the E best spell of the fight for the Challenger can he build on

That Nathan he has to dig deep [Applause] now it’s very difficult for Brad Pauls to win the fight when he he boxes like this it’s when he gets drawn in that it gives Pauls the chance that was the message from Steve Woodbine just don’t do it there’s no need it’s your fight

When you box like this so in these situations what Brad Pauls has got to try and do is double up his attack sustain and get him on the ropes that’s where he’s got to try and keep him and that’s where he may have some success right on Q that’s what he’s done he’s

Got to try and get Nathan eie to hold his feet on the [Applause] ropes good shot from hey long right hand nice and accurate jolt at thee of Brad tall back lovely shot that was well [Applause] timed this is a grueling contest both men having to empty the tank Brad Paul’s

Being told he needs a stoppage and he’s out there in the 11th round trying to get one he try to keep the fight at range try to keep out the way another shot another big shot land Nathan he in trouble again Brad Paul was looking to unload he his legs buckling he’s holding

On he’s hurting there how he he hasn’t gone down from that shot fled I will never know just hung on for dear life there but he he gone he literally had Nathan he clinging to his British title Brad Paul’s looking for the Finish Brad Pauls has him on the back foot in his

Own Corner looking to unload these big shots there’s more than a minute to go Nathan hey running on empty is this the moment for Paul’s the Heeney fans trying to raise their man incredible here Brad Paul’s really going for it Nathan Heeney in a lot of trouble still not

Recovered hey responds with a combination of his own the British champion having to dig deeper than he’s ever done before they’re Biting Down on the gumshield Nathan [Applause] Heeney in is turned to sagger Pauls yeah great shot that was from he but Paul just keeps going forward feels

That he’s just one punch away but he he responds that’s good stuff from him final a few seconds he and he’s found extra reserves Paul L look [Applause] shattered both men fighting each other to a standstill that’s a brilliant round of British middleweight championship boxing and a standing evation around the arena

For these two Warriors two hard men in there two proud fighting men Nathan H clinging to the British title Frank Paul’s trying to change his life Paul’s LS so does hey both of them with brilliant hooks unbelievable good right hand and a left up went in from Paul’s there Heeney

Responds sometimes you think heene is just ready to to go to the canvas but he just manages to stay up again but Brad Pauls is just looking for that one shot shot trying to hunt down Heeney such resilience such bravery such determination the fitness and the conditioning of these two men is why

They can still do this in the 12th round of this grueling fight he turns a land Pauls has to dig a little bit deeper he’s got to find a punch from somewhere hey knows it 30 seconds left now Nathan Heeney fighting for the city of stoke br Paul’s looking to take the

British title to Cornwell 20 seconds left time running out for the Challenger still swinging down goes hey it’s a slip and he’s still got the spring still got the energy to spectacularly get himself back up he was literally saying to people there it wasn’t it that it wasn’t a knockdown and

The way he sprung back up hey on the move the final Bell imminent there it is what a fight what a fight judge Victor llin scores it 116 to 113 in favor of Nathan Heeney Judge John leam scores it 115 to 114 in favor of Brad halls and Judge Kevin Parker scores it

114 to 114 this bout is a split draw

  1. Really good fight to watch. I was doing laps around my living room out of tension during the last 2 rounds. I thought Heaney just nicked it but massive credit to Pauls. It was the first time I’d see Pauls and hope that he gets another chance on a big TV card.

  2. Good, good fight ..Like both fighters equally too ..Run it back if u want lads if not just move on..Not always necessary to run it back for health sake if it's only going to be so grueling then u cld both move on and meet at a higher rank again with more money 💰 & accolade if need at all be.💥💫

  3. Poor weak performance from both fighters
    Draw is definitely best outcome
Because none of them was fighting like they wanted the win fight unfortunately

  4. Many views on here stating that the referee should carry spare gumshields. The rules state that the chief second of each boxer has 2 x gumshields just in case one gets knocked out of the ring and can't be found.

  5. The ref conveniently stopped the fight for ages when the gumshield was out and Nathan was absolutely out on his feet.

  6. yo the ref interrupted the action at the worst possible time to put that gumshield back in did not wait for a break in the action at all and then stood there letting everyone have a convo while they cleaned the gum shield for 30 seconds

  7. THAT WASN'T EVEN A TEST FOR BRAD, YOUR CHAMP WAS SPITTING OUT HIS GUM SHIELD AND TAKING TIME IN THE CORNER 😤 RE MATCH 💯🫵

  8. Tough one to score. I had Heaney winning the boxing match on points but he lost the fight. He was hurt multiple times and was hanging on for dear life.

  9. Nathan was beaten unfair decision constantly spiting out his gum shield when things got tough and he was all over the place at times even turning his back he looked like he was close to being knocked out and would spit out gum shield to gain extra time to recover and stop from getting battered he also didn't throw hooks as well as his opponent and he looked like he was being dominated at times I think his home support swayed the decision but for me he lost

  10. Seemed a fair result, but the ref stopping the fight like that, mid action, for a gumshield and giving him that long is a bit fishy 👀

  11. I was at the fight surrounded by stokies and a lot thought Heaney lost this, couldn’t believe how many post so saw saying he won by a few rounds

  12. Fighting like this against the best 160 fighters likes off Hamzah Sheeraz will be a bad idea.
