The Lions offense the last two weeks has not been itself

  1. One word: TURNOVERS. You lose the turnover battle, you lose games most of the time. They are the #2 offense in the NFL, offense is fine- take care of the ball and wer're good.

  2. I can’t prove it but I think Goff and a few other players played through the flu last Sunday against the Bears. They were just spent on Thursday and couldn’t recover in time.

  3. I am surprised that you didn't mention the Bears game to be specific as the game where a defensive scheme to stop Ben Johnson's offense had a lot of success which can be copied. His 2 minute offense has been on 🔥 fire!
One thing I have noticed on short yardage is the use of an empty backfield. I hate that! Gives away your intentions & leaves you vulnerable to the blitz.

  4. The lions have bounced back after every loss in the last 21 games. Goff has struggled the last two games and rumor has it that he’s going through some personal, off field, issues for the last couple of weeks. Ben Johnson cooling off a bit could be a blessing in disguise. Hopefully he will be back next year. I remember “Killer Kowalski” would often say something to the effect- that the road to being “a contender” is filled with potholes. It’s not a straight line, there will be bumps in the road. I’m not worried, I’m looking forward to the next game against the saints to see how well they bounce back. Then the next bump in the road could be in Soldier field, especially if it’s cold, wet, and windy. I still see 12 wins this season. Not too sure the will get to 14.

  5. This Sundays game is going to be so telling!! For both the offense and defense….plus Campbell's going back to N.O…. can't wait, lots on the line!!!

  6. AG and B Johnson are not ready for the HC job yet, cause with the inexperience they’re not gonna last after one year.

  7. Great job on the video – just subscribed. When the fake punt was called against KC, it was determination that made it work. On Thanksgiving, the (ridiculous) fake punt call was desperation_. With videos of sideline arguments between players/players/coaches, bad OL play, and DBs angrily pointing at each other on the field, it sure looks like something took a big bite out of the kneecap culture. They've flushed SOL in my mind but this is something different. And bad. And a shame for loyal fans. _onepride

  8. I mean I'm from Michigan but here in Missouri I do have another team I could route for but after the Lions beat them I'm not sure I would

  9. Did you ever think of what happened to the detroit lions offensive line. Taylor decker crapped out again. Decker let that squirt get around him 3 times for 3 dings on goff. Goff is still goff. Running backs , tight end , wide receivers are all shit hot . Only thing that is crap is the offensive line. The ruckus between buggs and the coach is the problem on the defensive side. Both of these issues has to be addressed. I say put screw up decker to right tackle. And the other one would be to give buggs more playing time. Because at the beginning of the year buggs signed 2 year 4.3 million contract . Now, he is being benched. And we'll play you when we feel like playing you. This is a coach player decision. Where in my opinion. The coach is not playing this player for personal reasons. So , I say fire Arron Glenn. Because he is playing favorites. In my book. I detest playing favorites. In football you put the best people on the field because you want to win the game.

  10. All these complaints don’t seem to offer a better solution than the crappy style of offense we have e always lost with – heavy kicker $$$ – Campbell didn’t come here to win 6 games a year with a kicker. I think they used the GB game as a scrimmage to test stuff, and throw it away, because there is no other explanation for that game than propping up Love to the GB market, doing NFL a favor and throw that game with insane play calling. Even Frank the tank fell apart.

  11. Division games should be tight, we take care of the football, the outcome is a lot different. Let's not over-react. Teams in the division work all year to draft, and beat you, they devote more game film, they know your tendencies. I won't be a bit surprised if the Lions just run all over the Saints. With that said, the DL needs a scheme change, it's been a basic 4-man rush and nothing to confuse that opposing offense. How about a 3 man rush and drop in coverage, how about a 5 man rush off the edge with Branch, how about moving Hutch around a little from the edge to the inside … how about a little wide 9 look. Without a shutdown corner that DL needs to pressure the QB, it can't cover man, it can't cover zone, Derrick Barnes is often watching the game then reacting. #46 is a rookie and learning, Anzalone is the only guy in the core trying to get to the ball. Kerby Joseph also has taken too many plays off, could be miscommunication, but he's taken a lot of bad angles this year. Regardless, Jared Goff needs to play better, they need to get back to Monty as the featured back, get 20 carries and let's go blow out the Saints!
