  1. Wish i could see this in person. No way i can copy just from watching this video. I don't hold a putter anything like that.

  2. That works for Graeme but I don’t think it is mainly because of his grip, it’s a putting motion that does it for him. Never been successful watching tour pros and trying to mimic them. I deal with my old body and make it work for me. If you his as many balls as they do you could probably do the same with just your trailing hand.👍🇨🇦👨‍🦳

  3. What Graham is describing is basically toe down chipping. Honestly the grip you use isn't important, the key is getting the club vertical. Which pulls the heel up off the ground and leaves just the toe contacting the turf. It's almost impossible to hit chips fat or thin with this method. The only down side is you don't get as much spin, but that's a trade off I'm willing to make.

  4. Matt you are hands-down the best YouTube instructor in the business!! Thanks for what you do

  5. its another one of those things, you see so many different styles shells done a lesson with that guy and he had like a step method where the grip would finish behind the club head this is deffo a useful one the old shoulder rock less room for mistakes i don’t think i have a problem now with different techniques its remembering to use the right one at the right time, lots of times i end up with several parts of different techniques culminating in a once in a life time technique either being brilliant or a duff but thats golf

  6. So for a righty, you only really have two fingers on the club handle itself. Takes away some of the strangle pressure. If I’ve seen that hold correctly. 👉

  7. That's a good idea from Gmc! But it's enough to grip with the lead arm/hand wesker so that there are not linger seen the knockles. If you do this you are swallowing the club more, the ball goes up because the loft works and you are nor going steep in the turf before you hit the ball. And if the club stands more on the toe too ad it's done by McD, then you have a good contacted also on terribly ground…. Thanks for your advice Matt!

  8. Thanks for mentioning you can use this with any iron. Most tips on chipping they don’t mention what club they are using and this is useful for a beginner.

  9. Have to sat I love chipping this way, Bill Ferguson showed me this 20 or so years ago and I definitely feel confident playing this way around the green
