Hello guys and girls!
I would like to share with you the way I got very precise adjustments for wedge and rough iron approaches under 30 yards.
Some players use the classic method (measuring 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 to get the adjustment). I find this classic method useful for medium-long wedge shots, but if we are near the 1st bounce (25 yards or closer), the classic method takes too much time. To have more time is one of the keys to be more relaxed and have more chances to hit it perfect.
WEDGES AND ROUGH IRON SHORT DISTANCE FINE ADJUSTMENT METHOD
1.- Get the number of rings at 25% distance for the wind, extra adjustment, club and ball power (R)
2.- Estimate the distance from the ball position to the 1st bounce
3.- Find the number in this chart for the club, ball power and distance (V)
4.- Get the adjustment: multiply the rings adjustment at 25% distance by the number found in this chart (R x V)
(*) If distance is over 25% or longer than 30 yds, the classic method is recommended (1, 1/2, 1/4, …)
With this method, if knowing the 25% distance ring adjustment, there is practically no way to be wrong with 10/15/20 yds wedge shots adjustments.
After some practice, it will be easy to remember a few numbers that will boost your Golf Clash short game. This chart is really helpful to learn these numbers, practice the method and memorize a few figures to improve your wedge and rough iron short distance shots.
Feel free to test it and comment. You will get very precise adjustments in all you short wedge and rough iron shots, and will have much more time to concentrate on your shot execution. Hopefully, your conversion percentage will be increased in a few weeks.
