FAIRFIELD, Calif. – Fresh off a first-place finish two weeks ago at the El Macero Classic, the Pacific men’s golf program springs ahead to the postseason, competing in the West Coast Conference Championships at Green Valley Country Club, hosted by the conference from Friday, May 1 to Sunday May 3.

For the second year in a row, the conference tournament is held in Fairfield, California where the Tigers last year earned a fourth-place finish among the ten participating programs.

Pacific came up just short in the match play semifinal to eventual conference champion Pepperdine in 2025. It tied the mark for the Tigers’ second best finish in the annual WCC tournament with the program’s best placement coming in 2015 – a runner-up nod at Saticoy Country Club.

Entering this year’s field ranked at No. 73 nationally, head coach John Cook’s team is the fourth-highest ranked WCC school in the country, trailing Pepperdine (No. 14), San Diego (No. 44) and Saint Mary’s (No. 64), according to SCOREBOARD.

A trio of Tigers stand in the top 500 nationally with redshirt junior Deitrek Gill leading the way. The WCC preseason team member has been the most consistent golfer, pacing Pacific with a 70.9 scoring average across 33 total rounds. Gill has eight top 20 finishes this year, including three of those in the top ten of fields.

While Gill has been the steadiest for the Tigers, sophomore Felix Bouchard represents the hottest Tiger of late after notching his second first-place individual championship of the season at the El Macero Classic with a seven-under par. Bouchard also previously championed the Tigers at this season’s Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational. The native of Montreal, Quebec equips a 71.9 scoring average with the pair of individual wins under his belt.

During the stroke play of last year’s WCC Championship, senior Travis Robbie turned in a strong performance, tying with Gill for 16th place individual at six-under par where he collected a pair of eagles on the final round to guide Pacific into match play. Robbie seeks to have a similar outing in 2026 as he competes in his second conference tournament as a Tiger.

Senior Timothy Jung, sophomore Brasen Briones and redshirt senior Daniel Henely round out the Pacific traveling party heading to Fairfield, California. All three took part in last year’s conference tournament.

Following a similar format to last season, the WCC Championships will be played with the first two rounds on Friday, May 1, starting at 7:30 a.m. off the first and tenth tees. The third round will follow the next day starting at 7:30 a.m. off the same tees. The top four teams from the rounds will advance to the match play semifinals on Sunday, May 3. The winners from each semifinal will square off to crown the conference champion. Live scoring for the tournament can be found here, while the match play live scoring can be found here.
