I’ve ordered Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash golf balls from the official Titleist Amazon store multiple times, but this has now happened twice.

Both times I received a box that had clearly been opened and the balls inside were swapped for Titleist TruFeel golf balls.

At this point it seems pretty obvious what’s happening:

  • Someone buys ProV1s
  • Swaps them out
  • Returns the box
  • Amazon restocks it as “new” without checking

The packaging was obviously tampered with.

Total waste of time dealing with returns/refunds.

Anyone else run into this?

Imagine ordering ProVs to swap and return but someone already beat you to it

It’s not a waste of time to request a refund. Amazon are pretty good about that.

    Get a refund.

I ordered some Callaway balls the other day from Amazon – someone had played them and put them back in the box.

They returned it no questions asked

Interestingly I’m switching from the Left Dash to the Callaway Triple Diamond

Why would you even order these on Amazon. They’re cheaper at PGA superstore.

Shopping on Amazon is all around terrible at this point.

If this happened to me once I’d never order through that method ever again. Can’t imagine going back for the same experience.

Stop buying things you can buy elsewhere from Amazon. If you can get it anywhere else, do it. This company is a shell of its former self and is a giant behemoth that does not care about anyone or anything including your wasted time. There’s no shortage of places to buy these balls.

  9. Is it too hard to bloody vacuum pack these ?

  10. Maybe a higher power is telling you that you should be playing TruFeel?

  11. Replace with 12 Nitro, return to Amazon and you will still end up winning!

  12. I’ll take there TruFeels of your hands, love playing um.

Whomever swapped them probably losing them all anyways like 90% of golfers who think it matters.

  14. At least you can still send them back and try again.

Stop giving Bezos your money when you can just buy it from a local store or directly from titleist for the same price.

Would you rather that $13 in margin go to a local golf course/retail store, the people actually making the golf balls, or some billionaire who treats his employees/contractors like shit.

  16. Michael_Cohens_Tapes

No, because I go to the store. Apologies if you are unable to go to one. At this point I would buy your balls at the course.

Luckily Amazon has a pretty good return policy.

It’s just like going to Target 🎯 without checking the box before you walk out….. 🤮

I ordered some footjoy shoes in the fall from Amazon. The box had someone’s old worn out shoes in it. I returned them as “wrong item” and Amazon rejected the return because i “returned the wrong item”. 😒 I couldn’t even figure out how to escalate it after they rejected it, nor did i have time to deal with it. So, i paid for someone’s new footjoys because Amazon selectively checks their returned packages.

amazon has a huge counterfeit problem. they have 0 measures to prevent counterfeiting and rely on people reporting it. all amazon reviews are fake so looking at them also wont help. return and move one. the time you spent is a loss

At least you won’t lose the good stuff in the woods!

Stop buying everything fucking thing from god damn Amazon people.

  25. reddittAcct9876154

Quit buying the “like new”. Only accept brand new. If this is still happening I’d video the opening of every damn order.

Im sorry….. and I’m sorry for anyone else this happened too about 10 years ago when buying at Walmart….I’m sorry!!!
