SPRINGBORO, Ohio – The IU Indianapolis men’s golf team will cap the regular season this week as the Jaguars compete in the Wright State Invitational at Heatherwoode Golf Club on Sunday (Apr. 12) and Monday (Apr. 13). The tournament will consist of 36 holes on Sunday, followed by a final round on Monday and will be 6-count-4 scoring this week, allowing teams to get additional players rounds ahead of the postseason.
The Jaguars are coming off a fifth-place finish at the NKU Jewell Invitational, including a second round of 1-under 283. Redshirt freshman Keaton Parmley notched his first career top-10 finish at 4-over 217 (71-72-74) for the event, tying for ninth among the 88-player field. Junior Titus Boswell continues to lead the Jaguars with a 71.47 scoring average and 18 rounds of par or better in his 10 tournament entries. Behind him, Parmley is second on the team at 74.26 and junior Brady Schier has a 74.96 stroke average. As a team, the Jags own a 294.80 scoring average.
Boswell is on pace to become the first player in program history to close a season with a stroke average under 72 and currently owns a personal .861 winning percentage.
THE COURSE
Heatherwoode is noted as one of the top public golf courses in the state of Ohio and will play par 71 and 6,950 yards this week.
THE FIELD
The field will consist of Ashland, Chicago State, Cleveland State, Detroit Mercy, Eastern Illinois, Findlay, Green Bay, IU Indy, Indian Hills Community College, Mercyhurst, Southern Indiana, Xavier, Wright State and Youngstown State.

The Jaguars finished fifth of 14 teams at the NKU Jewell Invitational at Elks Run in Batavia, Ohio. The Jags carded rounds of 289, 283 and 306, finishing the 54-hole event at 878. Parmley was the Jaguars’ low man at 4-over 217 and Schier was next in line at 223.

The Jaguars will compete at Mission Inn Resort at the Horizon League Championships on El Campeon on Apr. 25-27.
