SPRINGFIELD – Given the refreshingly balmy weather, you may be thinking of grabbing your clubs and teeing off.

Here are some golf courses that will be open this week in Springfield.

Springfield Park District coursesLincoln Greens Golf Course will be open on Tuesday, Feb. 17, starting at 10 a.m., frost permitting, according to an email release from the Springfield Park District. Lincoln Greens will also be open on Feb. 18 and 19 at 8 a.m., frost permitting.Pasfield Golf Course will be open Feb. 18 and 19, starting at 8 a.m., frost permitting.Bunn and Bergen Golf Courses will remain closed until further notice.All park district courses will be closed Friday through Sunday (Feb. 20-Feb. 22), given the forecast.More public coursesEdgewood Golf Course in Auburn is open daily from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., on days with nicer weather. The course is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on days with less desirable weather.The Oaks Golf Course in Springfield will be open from Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Play over the weekend will depend on the weather.The Rail Golf Course in Springfield will be open every day this week from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., taking walk-ons after that. The weekend will be weather-dependent.Brookhills Golf Club opens daily at 8 a.m., and the course closes around 3:30 p.m. The driving range is open until dark.The Links at Jacksonville is open daily starting at 8:30, and closing around 6 p.m. Play over the weekend will be the same, but also depending on weather.
