I do this drill. You said you also have that flaw of rolling your forearms inside. How long did it take you you to get used to your new takeaway?
That’s for the vid. This is exactly an issue I have love the way you explained it
Great lesson.. I suffer from this same issue and you did an excellent job explaining it and showing how to avoid.
Very helpful!👍
Yeah, my coach has me doing this. Work in progress 👍 Very clear instruction here ⛳️
As someone who has the tendency to roll it inside this was a very good drill to correct this bad habit. Usually I would see drills to stand with your back to the wall to identify if you are pulling it inside. However that only tells you if you are doing it wrong. this well demonstrated drill gives you a good habit building takeaway so that you know how to set your takeaway correctly every time.
This adds wrist cupping for me which I’ve been taught is not good. What do I do?
Well explained Ryan, good lesson, clear and crisp explanation. Chapeau
The hinging to slide handle down just solved my 15 struggle to make a proper backswing. It’s literally the only drill out hundreds I’ve tried that gives me proper feedback. Thanks!!!
How long until it becomes more natural/routine?
This drill fixed years of inside takeaway thnk u
BRB going to get some alignment sticks
Would this same logic apply with much longer clubs like Driver and 3 Wood?
Excellent instruction. This issue has caused a lifelong battle for me. Question: how does the fix you outline relate to the concept of the "club face looking at the ball" on the takeaway? I'm just trying to see how all the different forms of guidance on fixing the inside move are actually various ways of saying one thing, expressed in different ways? Thank you.
Can you take about the rotation part of the takeaway. I understand the hinge part. At least I think, but do my hands come inside, am I using my chest to move the club
Excellent video. I've struggled with this for a while. I just went out and practiced and I see where you're going here. Easily repeatable. Thanks!
Great video. Iv been working on my inside take away for awhile now. It wasn’t until I saw you explain how the forearms can roll on the take away that i finally understand that I roll mine. Great drill. This going to help a ton.
Nice drills. Thanks
Gonna try this on the rage cause I struggle with an inside takeaway. Does this drill work for longer clubs such as spoon and driver as well?
Would this work for driver Ryan? Great vid, cheers!
this is really good and i can see this helping me. gonna work on it thnx.
Ryan could you tell me how you are bring the turn in with the wrist hinge when I'm hinging my wrist it's bring the stick off my lead side
I really struggle with the inside takeaway. Focusing on the club head position works sometimes. Pretty good chance focusing on the butt end may be a better feel. Gonna give this a try. Love the video and am a new subscriber! Thanks!
At 2`15 was the statement.. you don’t lift your hands. You lift your wrists. Well done fella.
Great info, but this video was hard to watch. Way too much stuff jumping out at me. I think I need to vomit.
Thanks Ryan. Good step by step.
Genius drill! I've saw my swing on camera and I was taking it inside, it's hard to correct and this is a great way to get a consistent feel.
