In this video, Rick Shiels takes on Tom McKibbin in a matchplay challenge. Tom McKibbin secured his breakthrough victory on the DP World Tour at the 2023 Porsche European Open, winning at the same age and from the same home club as Rory McIlroy, and now plays for Legion XIII on LIV Golf. The 23-year-old’s most recent victory came at Hong Kong Golf Club in November 2025, earning him a spot at this year’s Masters Tournament. He was the first professional golfer I ever saw hit a driver. A couple years back at the Belfry on the DP world tour. The strike absolutely blew me away. Me and my mate just stood there staring at each other in disbelief 😂.

Such a nice lad and of course a brilliant player.. It looks effortless, Rick didn't really stand a chance with 7 shots, tbh not knocking Rick but you were never putting up with Tom's ability even with the shots. Really enjoyed the game.
