How would you approach a build on the wall where the current media screen is? I’d obviously remove the chandeliers, furniture and current projector. The wall is perfect for a massive screen, but I don’t know how to address the top part of the frame/padding. Ceiling is 11 feet and beams are 10 inches deep.

We want to keep this room as “big” as possible, meaning I don’t want to have a large frame jet out into the room. We plan on using this room for entertainment outside of the sim.

I’m currently thinking curtains for the sides, but the beams make it difficult to pad. I’d have to custom make some padding I think. Anyone have creative solutions or ideas? Thanks

I would get heavy curtains that go along inbetween the beams that could slide all the way down or about 2/3rds of the room. Or even do a bend that swoops around where the wall is and project onto the inside of the curtains. Super quick sketch but the red is the curtains and the lighter red could be the bend and blue is projector and depending on the monitor you could run it on a laptop and a little wheel stand to hide it away.

Install joists between the beams flush with beam bottom creating a flat ceiling area. coming out as far as you want towards hitting area. Then pad it.
