Hey everyone!
I’ve got the very basics of my garage setup started and have a few questions that was hoping I could some help with (didn’t see on a search or google/Youtube so maybe I’m just dumb…)
– The Eye Mini Lite setup has an alignment step but it’s not obvious to me how one can ensure the unit is sufficiently parallel to the target. Do you just eye ball the red and green lines in the setup? All the YouTube unboxing/setup videos go very quickly through this step. I have a laser level but not sure how I’d use for this.
Same question on leveling. The instructions say to ensure it’s in the same height as the hitting mat but not sure how precise this needs to be.
– I have the swing optix cameras attached to some cheap iPhone/camera tripods. The down the line camera seems to be angled and off center – how are you guys making sure the cameras are aligned properly?
Some pics attached! As I said, just starting out and need to finish my hitting mat/strip and have the Spornia side net on the way. Will need to work on more protection for the window/wall and flooring next.
Thanks in advance!

I’ve had the same question on mine. First I just measured each corner of my EML case to my hitting mat. But that didn’t solve how to aim perpendicular to the EML.
How I solved this: mount a cheap ($40) amazon overhead projector looking down onto my mat. I then projected a line in front of my hitting strip and another line parallel to that line over my EML. I adjusted my EML to be in line with the line projected onto it and now use the other line as my aiming line.
Hope that makes sense.
I have had the eye mini since it came out. I have never gotten it to align so that I thought it was square to the hitting area and the target and also the unit registered the same. The way that I ensure that it is actually aligned is to load up some practice putts on a flat green and make sure they go straight in-game when I putt down my target line. I physically rotate the unit a bit to make it perfect and I repeat this step every so often if it seems a bit off. I have never had much luck with the alignment methods, this is the only thing that works for me and makes me feel confident it is registering the way I expect it to.
