The RSM Classic once again marks the final event of the PGA TOUR season, and once again, there is plenty on the line. It all comes down to this for golfers on the top 100 bubble in the FedExCup Fall Standings. Last year, two golfers were able to parlay their results at Sea Island into a jump up the standings with plenty more looking for the same this week. Joel Dahmen is in at No. 117 and looks to re-create some Sea Island magic like a year ago when he shot a final-round 64 to keep his card for 2025. There is more than a trophy on the line this week, for many in the field it is the ability to play on the TOUR next year that matters most. Others in the field include local Sea Island native and United States Ryder Cup Team member Harris English, as well as Michael Brennan, Sahith Theegala, and Luke Clanton

Sam Stevens on the tea at the par three third. 196 yds. Whole location tucked just over the front bunker. What a way to get your ground started. Now Sammy Valamaki had that overnight lead. Looking to stretch it out a little bit here at the fourth. Trying to get your first win on the PGA Tour. Holeing some long putts early is a great way to start your day. Max McGrevy for birdie at the eighth. and he has that one go down as well. Let’s check in on the leader, Sammy Valamaki at eight. Just from off the green choosing putter. Oh, that is timely. Big timely and a big time bonus birdie from off the green for Sammy who stretches the lead out to two. We’ll cut over on the right hand side. Extremely slow putt. You know, we talked about the wins. Oh, look at that go in. We talked about winning. We talked about keeping your job as far as the top 100. But there’s also another category that’s really, really important today. Over at the 10th, just off the fairway is Zack Blair. Wonderful round of seven under par yesterday in the high winds. You haven’t even been in a group where you saw one. Oh, I’ve I’ve I’ve I’ve taken people to pick up the keys to their cars. Okay. Just wasn’t me. 18th hole here for Stevens. He’s just playing for some cash and experience and [Music] [Applause] slightly back uphill into the breeze. You don’t want to miss right. It can fall off sharply. You’ll see some of the shots left or right at it like that. Wow. and hitting it close like this just adds to the toughness of this game, but also sticking to his guns. Trying to inch a little closer at 13. Okay, look out for Nico. Two long putts in a row. He’s I mean maybe not even getting into that 51 to 60 range. He’s looking to make a run at the title. Oh, okay. Nico’s making his move. It all going to depend on what guys like Nico do behind him. Boy, this guy’s hot as well. Justin Nico already has two wins on his resume now. You know, just keep keep working hard and um and the results will kind of come kind of thing. Here’s Ricky Castillo. You have gone crazy low before in your career. Is this one going to go in? Oh, it does to get within one. He went out in 28. You shot a 59 one time at the Sony Open in Hawaii. When you’re hot like that for birdie JT mentioned it a few times with Max this week. He finished T3 in Bermuda. What sort of momentum when you when you’re playing good golf and you get to the next event? Left hand side of the furry 134. Nice angle. Holes positioned over that bumper. bringing this ball in straight up in the air just right there just short of pin high yet again. Speaking of 15, that’s where we are on the green with Lee Hodes and gets that one to fall. So that’s a birdie putt for Hodes who moves to 19 under par. He needs a three-way T4. This is getting very interesting, Steve. McGrevy now to get to 21 under. Oh yeah, fist bump early. Now back at the 16th in the fairway is Doug Gim. Probably needs to run the table coming in. Get at least two more, maybe even three. And that is a great way to start. Yeah, that’ll help. Now you’ve got to convert it. Okay. And again, he shows you the emotion. He knows exactly what’s on the line and knows where he needs to. Half a club short here at 17 off the T for Nico. Came out of his pitch mark fortunately. Nice. Slapped it out of there. 166. Got that up in the air. Yep. Wow. Getting it all the way back in high must have been a perfect number. Jeez Louise. All right. Give himself a chance. That working pretty flat putt. Four under on his round today. No bogeies. See if he can get to five. Oh, he left it short. No. Oh, anything but that. Still nice run this week. Way to go. Projected at 110. He’ll still get plenty of starts next year. Just not going to be able to pick his schedule. If he wants to get this close, he has to challenge up bunker left. 68 hard left to right wind. He’s done that. Needs to push a little right. Come on. Is he above the leaderboard on the right side of your screen as the top 100 bubble right now? Takumi Kaya who Johnson said earlier. Yeah. 158. He played plenty of golf in the wind at OU. Let’s see if he can be aggressive with this one. Starts that out to the right and that’s probably not going to turn enough back into that wind. That putt can have massive implications not only for the rest of the tournament, but Ricky Castillo, who I’m sure is watching, is Yeah, it’s down grain. It shouldn’t be much in this putt. It’s all situational. Max 3 with a huge birdie putt at the 18th. And that eliminates Ricky Castillo from the festivities here at the RSM Classic. What a putt. So clutch the way he played this entire back nine. Well, he had to take a head cover off. This is a wood. This might play into his hands because he is so good from Ter Green. What a shot. Oh yeah. All right. Soaki is the first to reach 23 under par and he regains the lead all to himself. Oh, what a putt. What a moment for Sammy Palami. And he keeps that lead. Are you kidding me? Beautiful. I mean, you could hear the quality of that strike. Just exactly what he needed to do. Perfect. Oh, that’s easy. Is he going to mark and wait? Oh, Sammmyy’s going to go ahead and knock it in as opposed to moving the coin. And Finland has his first ever PGA Tour winner. Sammy Balamaki has won the RSM Classic. Congratulations. had a couple of runner-up finishes coming into this week, but this time he closed the door. Sammy Valam gets it done on St. Simon’s Island. [Applause] Think they’re going to have any fun tonight, Steve? I think there’ll be a big celebration. Some family and friends making the trip. Thanks for watching the PJ tour.
