Try The 9-9 Backswing Drill #golfswing #golftips

Too many golfers are moving their arms independently of their core and their body in the back swing, and this leads to then a lot of compensations in the down swing in order to square the club face. Here’s a great drill that’s going to engage that core in the first part. Hold the golf club in your lead hand and place your right hand just above the elbow here. This now forms a number nine. Now, the idea of this is to lock this number nine in place and turn this to number nine on the clock face. This ensures that the body leads the arms and creates a much better synchronization and really helps when it comes to consistency at impact. So take that feeling to the shot. Nine to nine. I guarantee this is going to help your back swing.

A common backswing mistake is letting the arms move independently of the torso and folding the right arm, narrowing the backswing. This destroys width, structure, and connection. The 9-9 Drill is the perfect fix: create a “9” shape with your arms and body, and maintain it until the club head reaches 9 o’clock. This ensures the arms and torso move together, giving you more width, a stable takeaway, and a backswing built for power and consistency.

  1. Samba Dancer, look at the bag in the background and compare his hip position at start, load and impact. You hold the belief that that's correct. I recommend trying dancing as well
