here’s a quick tip for being able to accurately see whether or not you’re actually early extending in your swing the most common angle we see used to record swings is where the camera is positioned up around the chest or sometimes even higher and positioned closer to the Target line if you draw a tush line from here you’re going to be misled by what you see on the video it looks as if this player is early extending in his downswing by a good bit but is that really what’s happening let’s put a plane of glass behind him let’s also Slide the camera over so it’s positioned right in line with this butt plane now when we play a swing you can see that he doesn’t early extend at all in fact he gets nice depth through his tush line the camera can only accurately see what it’s pointing at when it was high and right it wasn’t really pointing at anything and you saw it incorrectly show early extension but just by moving the camera down and right behind his butt you can now accurately see what this player is doing with his flexion and extension give it a try for yourself we hope this will help you save time by not working on something that might not even be an issue in the first place

This is helpful. I was literally just working on things and watching videos of myself but I started to get confused on telling what was early extension and what was normal extension.
Wow. This is really cool. I usually film with my camera on the hand line from address. I always see me lose the butt-line by an inch or so. But I'll move the camera to the butt line to see for sure next time.
Another great point from you boys. Most teachers try to say the perfect spot to put the camera. Others say never to analyze your own swing. AMG tells you to move the camera depending on what you are working on.
You two truly are something special.
I would be very interested in a comparison between Gears and the new AI Motion Analysis from Trackman. Iβm curious how accurate it is.
I like to also look at his head movement. I notice early extension also impact the head and forehead movement towards the ball is another good indicator.
