The PGA TOUR has just five events left in the FedExCup Fall – and three of them are outside of the United States starting this week with a stop in Japan. The Baycurrent Classic heads to a new golf course for 2025, Yokohama Country Club. It’s as important a time as any for those outside of the top 100 in the FedExCup Fall standings to earn valuable points in order to lock up full status for 2026. Past champion Collin Morikawa is back in action as he looks to find the winner’s circle for the first time since this tournament in 2023. Xander Schauffele returns to the PGA TOUR for the first time since the BMW Championship – and for the first time since becoming a father. The nine-time PGA TOUR winner has two top 10s in his last four starts without a win this season. Other names to look for include Hideki Matsuyama, Tony Finau, and Max Homa.

Just cannot miss left. It needs to get down. Oh, very nice. Well played by Schoffley. Shoffley for birdie. See if all the work can pay off here. 18 yards for Michael. Carrying the right distance. Three beauties there at the eighth. They’ll all have great looks. Sometimes these are the most difficult ones, Craig. You just want something. Yeah, well done. How about this start? Well, he acted like he didn’t like it. He was begging for something, but he hit it perfectly. Well, we got a great look. is inside right Kansas. Three parties for Grman Schaely co-leaders and Thor Bjornson one behind Matsiamama second shot and there’s really not much room tucked back here on this back right portion of the green. Just a small little flat area. That’s really nice. Over to the 13th. And here’s Hideki for the birdie. Yeah, had a bit of movement into that putt and it kind of snaked both ways. Double take the flip out. That’s what he’s worked on. Good rotation through the swing there. He’s obviously really flag hunting there. He said he made some hay yesterday from fourth hole onwards on this front nine. He’s done the same today and that just continues the trend. Yeah. Coming back up the hill at the 12. This pin way in the back. Kind of a middle accessible pin. If you can get the distance right, that works. Okay, this is Raasmus up and over that saddle as you’d call it, Gary. So, picks up a little bit of speed here. Look at that. Gets quick. Oh, this is a great part. Cross country. Well, this is his second shot here at number 18. He’s also having a wonderful day. Great distance control and needs and Hideki second. Tricky little pin just over that front bunker here at the 15th. Okay. We just Yeah, it’s more like it. Left it late. I think those cancel each other out. Another chance to dial one in. Good looking. That was dialed. Was it ever? And there’s that little bit of a back stop. Able to use that. Great play. Okay, game on without Hideki Matsi Yama contending. They need to make some birdies here to close the gap on his four back of Schoffley. This is a really good chance for birdie. A tough 11th and he makes it. Wow. Just the 16th birdie this week on that hole. Takumi Kaya seven under through 15 holes. Some number to the par 31 16th. Yeah, as I mentioned 240. It does play downhill slightly. It’s a big test. And how good is that? Threaten the hole. He has got it going today. Some of his best golf this week. It’s come on to Sunday. And this pin kind of in the back right portion trying to kind of almost looks like cut something into that back pin. Really good. Don’t want to be overly aggressive here. Do not want to go over the screen. Quite a tough flag to get to up on that top tier. Well, he’s being aggressive carrying it there. Yeah, nice. And that’s below the hole. So, let’s keep the pace up. Let’s see if he can hit this at a pace that will go about 18 in to 2 ft past. Pace is really good. And there we go. That’s been the strength of the game this week and he’s just continuing it. So joint leader and within touch of distance of that next 10. Very nice. Very nice. He’s looked peerless with that partner, isn’t he, Rob? Tremendous. And the two players chasing him, Tom. They’re not giving up any ground. No, it might be the closest finish that we’ve had at the Bay Car Classic. This is Tukumi Canaya bunkered off the tea. Nicely done. He’s playing his 28th event of Kaya 17 birdie putt to get to 14. and he’d be tied for fourth. Oh yeah, well done. Fabulous second putt to match. Can he squeeze one more birdie out of the round? It’s worth a fortune to him. Go, go, go. [Applause] Gamewinning pace. That rattle tone. Impressive there. Shot of about 40 yards. of course as well very much on the line to the penultimate hole. Rico fantastic shot. He’s working on stuff with his swing. It’s not just stand in there and hit it and trying to hit a little draw. It is starting to turn towards the flag. Yeah, really, really well played. Probably exactly where he was looking. Just a little shy of pin high, but just a quality play. You have to be right at this hole as you said from that distance. Sees the solo initiative. Keep going. Keep going. I’ll see your birdie and I’ll raise it. He is just kind of just turning the screw, isn’t he? About a third of the field have made birdie here today at 15. So it’s a good chance. This is Higo to get to 14 under. Probably not a chance to win anymore that get into that top six. You saw 62nd on the list there. Everything meaningful still. Well, the tenacity that he’s shown has been pretty much unrivaled. Maybe this man’s bounce back on Sunday. There we go. There we go. Well, that’s a 64 this Sunday and Alex Small. Well, the distance is correct. Yeah. Well, Shley’s given himself a chance to get to 19 under par. Graceman’s going to need to make his makes the task that much easier going to the final hole. Well, this is out to the right. Listen, he’s competed well. He’s executed well, but he may fall short again. Oh, nearly holds it. puts it inside a foot. What a shot by Gracman. Was a must make for Max Gracerman. The best shot we’ve seen to the 18th. And now Xander. I mean, like, man, that was so close to going in. Grman has stood toe-to-toe all day with the fourth ranked player in the world. Oh, magnificent looking shot turning towards the flag give us some enough club. Yeah, really good. That plays 10 up from down there, but stalled out these last five holes. Does that putter have another birdie in it? Seven under 64 the number for Michael Thor Bjornson. Shawley making the family proud. A winner here in Japan. Got his mom, his grandparents out walking with him this week. For the first time, he wins the Bay Current Classic. His 10th PGA Tour victory in his 200th start. Thanks for watching the PGA Tour. 前澤杯より全然良かったよ
10 finger grip.. love it
This might be the Tours worst edited highlights yet. It’s impressively bad
Great tightly packed leader board.
Congrats to Xander
Thorbjornsen was rly impressive
TBJSEN is a beast
Great shooting Xander! U r the man. All the best in 2026 from Canada at Huron Oaks GC home of Mike Weir.
That guy is Schauffele good.. snort snort. 😂
That was an absolute amateur job by the announcer on greyserman’s shot on 18
Did anyone else not realize this was in Japan? And that it is the same tournament as the Zozo in years prior? Pretty poorly advertised – and the field was weaker than usual.
So glad to see Xander get that win! It feels like it's been a little bit coming and his putting is now back to the form we've come to expect and appreciate
He’s Back!!! 🫨
@ 5:35 Thorbjornsen with a baseball grip ? never would've thought
Sack your editor please
If you want to read a great book about golf and how to play your best, read the best golf book I have ever read, Golf the Great Revealer. I'm now on my fourth time reading it because I have never read a book that explains how golfers sabotage themselves more than this book does.
Trust me when i say that you will love it, and probably want to start reading it again right after you finish it the first time. It is like the author is looking into your mind and speaking directly to you throughout the book.bIt helps you to see and understand golf like the pros do.
I have bought about 20 copies and given them to family and friends because it is that good. After buying many paperbacks, I found out that it is also available in Kindle and audio from BookBaby.
One of my friends, after finishing it, said to me that every person on the planet, golfer or not, should have a copy of this book. I agreed.
This tournament was flat all week! I look forward to watch every week but this one could not hold my interest more than a few minutes!!!
Poor product!
