How to hit your hybrids basics 101. Get that ball positioned just inside lead heel slightly forward of the middle. Common fault is ball way too far forward and this might cause some horrible slices. We don’t want that. Two with that ball just inside lead heel. Make sure the hands are up towards the lead thigh. So many golfers get their hands in the middle with no kind of lean at all. You do want a little bit of lean. You are hitting this club on the way down. Hands up towards lead thigh. Lovely strikes. Yes, please. Three. Let’s get a good width for stance. You’re going to be slightly wider than you are with a medium arm. We want a bit of rotation. We want a bit of club head speed. And we want some balance, too. Make sure your width for stance is just outside the line of your hips. Four. Let’s make sure we get a good amount of upper body turn. We don’t want just to be an arm swing where you put the club up there. This is a longer club for lots of people. It needs a certain amount of turn, a certain amount of power to make sure the launches are meeting the loft delivery. Power, a bit of speed is a good thing. And five, what lofts on your hybrid? If you struggle to launch these balls with all those tips, your hybrid probably isn’t lofted enough. Make sure you have enough loft on it so you feel comfortable enough to stand this way. You set the ball up this way, have the handle lean this way, turn your body and hit hard and fall down at that ball and it still launches. Too many golfers have too little loft in it, hybrids, making it a nearon impossible club to hit from the ground, which is where we want to hit it. You’re welcome.
