Vitamin Shoppe founder Jeffrey Horowitz just lowered the dose of his oceanfront Hamptons compound.
He now seeks a cool $79 million for the 3.5-acre property — featuring a pool and a nine-hole golf course he designed himself — that stands in prime Sagaponack.
In summer 2025, he listed the spread for a higher $89 million. Before bringing it public, Horowitz had reportedly tried earlier in 2025 to sell it off-market for an even higher $125 million, but no buyers materialized. (That price adjustment, according to reports at the time, reflected a “recalibration.”)

The listing appears to be marketed in a co-exclusive between Ryan Serhant of Serhant — whose representative did not immediately return a request for comment — plus Terry Cohen, Taylor Cohen and Ashley McDermott of Compass.
“We have supported comps for similar compounds at a list price of $79 million,” said Terry Cohen in a statement. “Sagaponack is such a sought-after village, with a very limited number of oceanfront homes. Adding the second lot with ocean access affords the new buyer the ability to create a compound, which has become very important in trophy assets.”

Horowitz and his wife, Helen, assembled the land in the mid-1990s for some $2.7 million, then completed the home in 1998. Horowitz founded the Vitamin Shoppe in 1977, then sold it to Bear Stearns for some $300 million in 2002. He stayed on as CEO until 2004.
A lot has changed for the family over the decades, but the property remains stunning.
It boasts an impressive 200 feet of oceanfront, which lends itself to wide views of the Atlantic from inside the house.
A living room looks out to the pool and the ocean beyond, while a chef’s-grade kitchen also offers vistas of the waves. A wood-paneled den serves for cozy gatherings. The lower level fits staff quarters, a wine cellar, a game room and a gym.
