Treviso golf event ‘Feeds Dreams’; FC Naples continues winning stream

Oct. 12, 2026, 8:01 p.m. ET

An event Oct. 29 brings together golfers, community leaders and local businesses for a day of golf with a purpose: Supporting Southwest Florida children facing food insecurity and helping students build brighter futures.

The day begins at 7 a.m. with registration and breakfast, followed by an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start and 18 holes of golf at TPC Treviso Bay.

After play, guests will gather for a luncheon with live and silent auctions and an awards ceremony featuring prizes presented in both gross and net categories.

The tournament directly supports Feeding Dreams’ work to help children break the cycle of poverty. Through its weekend meal program, Feeding Dreams provides more than 3.5 million nutritious meal servings each year to children facing food insecurity.

Last year’s tournament raised over $200,000, providing critical funding to expand the organization’s impact across Southwest Florida.

“No child should ever be too hungry to learn, grow or reach their full potential,” said Ed Mullen, founder of Feeding Dreams. “When you feed and support a child, you don’t just fill their stomach—you can change the entire trajectory of their life .”

FC Naples strengthens playoff push with 2-0 victory over Richmond Kickers

FC Naples continued its late-season playoff push Sept. 7 with a 2-0 victory over the Richmond Kickers at Paradise Coast Sports Complex.

FC Naples opened the scoring in the 23rd minute when #14 Kevin O’Connor provided the service for #9 Gio Miglietti, who converted to give Naples a 1-0 advantage. The home side carried that lead into halftime behind a strong defensive effort that kept Richmond off the scoresheet.

FC Naples continued its late-season playoff push Sept. 7 with a 2-0 victory over the Richmond Kickers at Paradise Coast Sports Complex.

FC Naples Interim Coach Zak Gordon saw an improved performance from his side after halftime as Naples increased the tempo and created more opportunities going forward.

“Second half, I thought we were miles better,” Gordon said. “We were getting balls in behind earlier, which was forcing their back line to drop. It also meant that their midfield line couldn’t really get set and organized. It opened the game up a lot for us, and that’s when we created a bunch of those decent chances.”

Miglietti struck again in the 67th minute. #24 Ty Collins provided the assist with a layoff to Miglietti, who finished the opportunity to complete his brace and double the FC Naples advantage to 2-0.

FC Naples’ defense produced an equally important performance at the other end of the field. The back line limited Richmond’s opportunities throughout the night, while captain and goalkeeper #1 Lalo Delgado anchored the effort in goal.

Together, the Naples defense kept the Kickers scoreless through the final whistle to secure the clean sheet and all three points at home. The victory extended FC Naples’ winning streak to three matches and kept the club firmly in the postseason race.

With three matches remaining, Miglietti said the team’s focus remains on controlling what it can during the final stretch.

“It’s the same mentality. We have to go there, look to win and take control,” Miglietti said. “You just have to deal with the travel and go on to try to win, get the result, and push ourselves into a great position trying to make that playoff push.”

With nine regular-season points still available, Naples enters its final three matches with an opportunity to return to the USL League One playoffs for the second year in a row.

FC Naples was slated to face Corpus Christi FC on the road Oct. 10. With only three regular-season matches remaining, Naples will look to carry its three-match winning streak into another critical matchup and take another step toward securing a second consecutive USL League One playoff appearance.
