One of Texas’ biggest restaurant chains is getting into the golf game. Chili’s Grill & Bar is opening another location, this time on a California golf course.
This weekend, Chili’s is taking over the DeBell Golf Club in Burbank to transform the clubhouse into Chili’s Golf Club.
‘Grab your golf clubs, or just get ready to grab a margarita’
According to a press release, Chili’s will be “turning the clubhouse into the ultimate 19th hole” on Aug. 28-29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will feature the restaurant chain’s classic menu and some specials as well, including golf-themed margaritas and maybe a “Chili’s Booth Cart.”
“Chili’s is the people’s clubhouse, so it only made sense to bring that spirit to the course by building the Chili’s Golf Club on a public muni, complete with the 19th hole of every golfer’s dreams,” said George Felix, chief marketing officer and executive vice president of Brinker International.
In honor of the pop-up, the company also partnered with Rhoback to create a custom-designed collection exclusively for the Chili’s Golf Club, complete with an official Chili’s Golf Club crest.
The very first Chili’s restaurant opened in Dallas in 1975, and the chain has since grown to 1,600 restaurants in 29 countries and two territories. But this will be the company’s first-ever golf course location, serving golfers and fans alike.
