Rory McIlroy headlines DP World India Championship 2026: Tee times, TV

Updated Oct. 14, 2026, 4:34 p.m. ET

Last week, the PGA Tour took a field loaded with stars to Japan for the 2026 Baycurrent Classic, where Michael Brennan emerged victorious.

Those who watched live in the U.S. had to channel their inner night owl, with the action running from about 11 p.m. – 3 a.m. ET every night. Well, for you golf sickos who enjoyed that, we have good news: There’s more late-night/early-morning golf coming your way this week.

The 2026 DP World India Championship begins Thursday morning in New Delhi, or Wednesday night in the states, and there are several global superstars set to tee it up in the penultimate event of the DP World Tour’s regular season. You might remember the viral heartwarming clip from last year that showed Frankie Fleetwood running onto the 18th green at Delhi Golf Club to hug his dad, Tommy, who had just won the 2025 edition of this event.

Well, Fleetwood is back and will look to recreate that special moment by defending his title in New Delhi, but he’ll have to topple a strong field featuring the likes of Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, Robert MacIntyre, Patrick Reed, Ryan Fox, Aaron Rai, Shane Lowry, Min Woo Lee and Eugenio Chacarra, who was runner-up at last week’s Spanish Open despite suffering from a broken toe.

McIlroy is back in action for the first time in a month, looking to capture his 22nd career victory on the DP World Tour. The reigning back-to-back Masters champion last made a competitive start at the 2026 BMW PGA Championship, where both he and Rai finished in a tie for second, two shots behind winner J.J. Spaun.
