Despite their final day turnaround, Brandel Chamblee isn’t letting Brandt Snedeker get away with his post-tournament comments.
Entering Sunday’s Presidents Cup finale three points behind Geoff Ogilvy’s team, the Americans claimed a remarkable 9.5 points, sealing a 17-13 victory.

The win marked the 11th straight cup for Team USA, but it certainly wasn’t a smooth run for them in the biennial tournament.
Snedeker, captain of Team USA, delivered a self-critical assessment of his personal performance throughout the tournament.
By the time the Americans had completed their turnaround, Snedeker flipped his criticizm to the media and fans.
“I’m tired of hearing how these guys aren’t close,” Snedeker said.

“I’m tired of hearing how we can’t play team golf. Guys just proved it right then and there.”
Brandel Chamblee fires back at Snedeker’s comments
“You can use whatever word you want about the overconfidence of the US team,” Chamblee immediately responded on the Golf Channel broadcast.
“Why else do they consistently get beat on the data-dive. Why else do they consistently get beat by a inferior team.
“If the US team wants to say ‘we’re tired of criticizm that we can’t come together as a team’ well then they should win as a team.
“So they made a mistake and they lost. So I understand they don’t like the criticism, but the criticism, you don’t get to just take the money and run.
“Your criticism comes with the territory. You’re a team.”

Chamblee pointed to the fact about how they perform when they play together, rather than as individuals in the final day singles.
Their performance at Medinah gave Chamblee plenty of evidence for his claim.
The U.S. won Thursday’s fourballs 3-2, only to be swept 5-0 in Friday’s foursomes, and by the time team sessions ended, they trailed the Internationals 10.5-7.5.
It was the first time in the history of the tournament that the Internationals carried a lead into the final day on US soil.
World No.1 Scottie Scheffler’s 1-8-1 record in match play at the Presidents Cup and the Ryder Cup has some saying they are not intimidated facing him.
Chamblee did however praise their final day singles performance, comparing it to their 1999 Ryder Cup comeback.

“What we saw today was historic – this is the greatest ever Sunday singles performance, not just by a Presidents Cup team, but by a US Ryder Cup team,” Chamblee added.
“What happened today was what was predicted to happen all week long, given the disparity between the world rank of the international team and the US team.”
