The question of whether the old axiom “Drive for show and putt for dough” is based in fact or fiction remains a great source of debate in golf circles. There is no denying, however, that a good week with a putter can go a long way to winning on the PGA Tour. Knowing then what a new champion used en route to victory is a natural curiosity that we hope to satisfy by putting together this list of putters employed by every winner on the PGA Tour in 2026. At the Rocket Classic, Michael Thorbjornsen gave TaylorMade its 11th win of the season, the most of any manufacturer. Scotty Cameron by Titleist is next with eighth victories, followed by Ping and Odyssey with five wins. Bettinardi has three and L.A.B. claims one. Each week we’ll let you know what the winner played along with a fun stat about their putting that helps provide insight into their triumph.

Putter:Â TaylorMade Spider Tour X X7
Key putting stat:Â A hot putter on Sunday helped Thorbjornsen post a 63 to rally to his first PGA Tour title. He was 13th on the day in strokes gained/putting, his best day of the four rounds, and was 12th for the week. He was also first in putts per GIR.

All the clubs Koivun used to win at TPC Twin Cities
Ryan Fox, Open Championship
Key putting stat:Â Fox used a putter with a 40-inch KBS C-Taper 130 Black PVD 8-iron shaft instead of a standard putter shaft. The loft is almost double the norm at 6.5 degrees to accommodate his significant forward press and the grip is a 17-inch SuperStroke S 1.0P. It proved important as Fox led the field in strokes gained/putting (9.45) and made 458 feet of putts for the entire week, the most of any player.

All the clubs Clark used to win at TPC Craig Ranch
Aaron Rai, PGA Championship
Putter: TaylorMade Spider Tour V
Key putting stat: Rai’s 68-foot birdie bomb on the 17th at Aronimink during Sunday’s final round will go down as the signature shot of the championship. The heads range from smaller blade-like mallets (DS72, Prime Tyne 4) to larger but traditionally shaped options (Ally Blue 4, Oslo) to fit different player types.
The DS72 is designed for a straight stroke, but most of the line fits strokes with some degree of arc, even the larger Ally Blue and Oslo.
The designs got insight from Ping’s engineers working with its tour staff.
The deeper-etched milling enhances the softer feel.
The use of multiple materials frees up mass for stability weighting in the perimeter, particularly the steel sole plate on the aluminum body of the Ally Blue 4 and the lightweight aluminum hosel on the Oslo models.
The precision CNC milling process takes between 75 and 100 minutes per head, which are made from 303 stainless steel.

Multiple styles mix high stability, alignment features, precision milling of stainless steel and aluminum, and chain-link face milling for consistent roll.
The face milling pattern, seen on last year’s Studio Style introduction, incorporates a soft-carbon steel that’s treated with a chemical process to protect the steel, enhance hardness and preserve feel.
The chain-link milling pattern extends across the entire face to ensure more consistent roll and distance control on off-center strikes.
Weight screws in the front of the sole at the heel and toe provide stability while customizing the head’s weight to match shaft length and player preferences.
Among the updates is a refashioned sole cavity to accommodate the chain-link face milling pattern. The new interior structure stiffens the frame to provide the quieter impact feel that has been a trait of Scotty Cameron designs.
New models include the 5 OC and 11R OC, which are onset, center-shafted low-torque versions of the originals. The shaft lines up with the head’s center of gravity to reduce hand action, and the black PVD coating simplifies alignment.
On the OC models, a special hosel design sets the shaft slightly back from the face, creating a small forward lean and allowing the lie angle to be adjusted for fit.

All the clubs Fitzpatrick used to win at Innisbrook
Cameron Young, Players Championship
Putter: Scotty Cameron by Titleist Phantom 9.5 prototype

The square-ish designs feature extreme heel and toe weighting for maximum forgiveness as well as two neck styles and different centers of gravity to better accommodate arcing and straight strokes.
The thin-wall casting method allows saved weight from the crown and sidewalls to be redistributed for more stability on off-center hits.
A thermoplastic rubber positioned behind the face, previously used in TaylorMade’s irons, minimizes vibration for a cleaner, crisper sound.
The lightweight Surlyn face insert features grooves that angle downward to improves initial launch and roll to control unwanted backspin and initial skidding.
Among the most popular mallet designs ever, Spider putters have been the preferred putter by Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy and scored 14 wins overall on the PGA Tour in 2024.
